Beautiful, quiet mountain town. It's a great place to get away and relax and enjoy some beautiful scenery. The quaint downtown is just minutes down the road and has lots of shops and restaurants. Grandfather Mountain is about 30 minutes away and is a must see if you have time.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is beautiful and we had a lovely drive with many senic views and Blowing Rock super ,the views were breathtaking God is so amazing ! We ate at a resturant called Tony's Good food at a resonable price. As a senior ,be prepared for steep hills but otherwise we had a wonderful experience Oh and the wildlife was amazing we woke to find 6 deer grazing outside our cabin.

Very quaint small town with a relaxing, comfortable country vibe. Very peaceful, great restaurants and shopping on Main street and nearby. Only a few miles from Boone - which is a larger town for shopping and restaurants. A nice area to visit - especially during the fall.

Blowing Rock is a beautiful place.

Blowing Rock is a beautiful place. Close to Boone and Grandfather Mountain. We were just there for a wedding and had no time to see the sights. The downtown area was lovely with lots of great shops and restaurants. It was very windy and turned chilly during the night, so bring a warm jacket no matter the season.

    It was a wonderful stay.

It was a wonderful stay. The village looks very nice and cozy. All cabins are around the lake (pond). You can go fishing there. They have a fishing poles to borrow! Or you can go to a picnic area and use a charcoal grill to make dinner or bring pizza from a local pizzeria and eat it outside or inside - whatever you prefer. You can cook dinner in the cabin. All cabins are well equipped: coffee maker, toaster, stove top, oven, full-size refrigerator. And they have a cook book in a cabin :) They have a club house with a ping-pong table and a pool-table. My favorite thing is to seat near the fireplace with a glass of wine. Or seat in the rocking chair in the morning on the private porch. We will definitely come back to the village.

The Swiss Mountian Lodge was an exceptional cabin hotel. We checked in late, but the management had all the details, maps, and key codes waiting for us in a lockbox. We were impressed that the lodge had a full kitchen and an upstairs bonus room for the kids. The main room was comfy and well-organized; it felt like we were transported to the swiss alps. I would highly recommend this Swiss Mountain Lodge. Next time we are in the Boone/Blowing Rock area, we will stay at the Swiss Mountain Lodge. We'll take advantage of the trout pound.

This place was a gem! We decided on a whim to go visit blowing rock and needed a pet friendly place for our German shepherd. On entering the staff was AMAZING! We were only planning to stay one night but ended up booking a second night in which we chose a cheaper room for the second night. Both rooms were clean and the beds were so comfy! We cooked out the second night on their grills and really enjoyed how quaint this place was! We will 100% stay again if we have the change

We loved our 2-night stay at Swiss Mountain Village. We've been traveling across America for two months, mostly staying in hotels or RV parks, and this cabin/lodge made such a nice change. The two bedroom lodge had separate bedrooms and the kitchen was really well equipped. Sitting by the gas fire was very cozy. Fishing for trout in the pond was a bonus! We were in unit 42, one of the top units, so sound from neighbours wasn't a problem.

The location was fabulous, walkable from Blowing Rock town, next to trails, beautiful lake where we saw deer and nearby the Blue Ridge Parkway. Room was huge and beautifully decorated. So pleased to have real mugs and glasses! The only hotel during our 3 week trip to the USA to do away with disposable cups! Yippee and full marks for that.

We loved our stay at the cabin. The pictures of the location do not do it justice. The cabin overlooks a tranquil creek and is surrounded by woods. We found that the location was perfect because it is minutes from downtown Blowing Rock and close to Grandfather Mountain. My husband and I look forward to returning soon.

Blowing Rock in was a charming motel. I loved the wicker chairs outside. It was exceptionally spacious for a motel and it had an exceptionally good coffee setup. We wanted trout for dinner and they recommended a trout restaurant nearby that had a New York quality dinner for way less money.

It’s a very easy walk to downtown Blowing Rock. The room had everything that we needed and our little dog loved rolling in all the nice grass around the property. The very nice person who checked us in called a few hours later to make sure we were happy with everything.
