I think 4-5 days is probably about right. We loved the history, the architecture, the public transport system and ferries which made it easy to get about. Beware the ferries are often disrupted if there are high winds which is fairly frequently in April. Don't miss the co - cathedral, the 4pm battery salute, the Lasaris war rooms, Cafe Cordina. There is a great view from the M&S Cafe on the 4th Floor in Sliema. The people are friendly and helpful. I felt very safe.

I liked Valletta: It has a lot of interesting historical points, its own style of architecture and was full of character. The place is relatively small and therefore accessible to a fit person. There are streets which are made up of steps.
The city has many excellent bars and restaurants as well as small grocery shops. It also has a couple of theatres. The city is clean and safe.

What a magical city!
What a magical city! So much history and worth exploring around the Island to see the different influences. We left wanting more and are already planning our next trip. The local wine was a lovely suprise - we absolutely could not get enough of it! And the quality of food that we tried was exceptional. I don't know why I sound so surprised but I really genuinely came away from our weekend away thinking it was one of the best mini-vacations we have had. Not to mention how darned friendly the locals are.

Valletta is definitely worth a trip especially if you are interested in history and architecture. However there are also other parts of Malta that are worth going to as well as Valetta. The three days we spent there was enough. Be aware that it is very busy with tourists even on off peak seasons.
Sally Port Suites is the perfect choice for accommodation in Valletta. It's in an excellent location, in the city centre and close to everything you need. Alfredo, the hostess, is very polite and friendly. We had a free early check in and he gave us a better and bigger room with the great view of the port. We were very happy and pleased about our staying in Sally port suites and we hope we come back again in Valletta and of course we will select Sally port again and again for our vacation.
Thank you!
The apartment is at the heart of the city centre. It's really spacious, with a kitchen (where you can make some coffee/meals). The balcony we thought it had is a "closed balcony" typical of the maltese architecture, so no smoking on the balcony, but there is a terrace on the top floor with a couple of tables and a great view. We were able to store our luggage until our flight in the afternoon, the host was very polite and helpful, the communication with the host was really good as well.
Location was perfect with excellent views from the roof terrace. The host Alfredo was always happy to assist, and the cleaners were pleasant and helpful.Although not mentioned we had a late flight and were able to keep the case on the premises for collection later,as well as organizing a taxi to the airport.
Valletta like most of Malta is under construction so expect some noise but this did not affect our stay one bit.We were also able to check in early and the bed was so comfortable.
The location of the hotel is excellent! Right in the city centre, a few minutes walk from bars and restaurants.
The size of the room is good however the aesthetic and the decoration can be improved. The bathroom was clean and clean towels were provided everyday! The breakfast had a big variety of things but nothing special. There are many better options for breakfast around the town. Overall this hotel is a good option if you are going to spend most of your day outside.
Good place for people who want to live in city centre and don't wanna pay much for hotel, everything you need is close and you don't need to waste your time to get from one place to another. Living in such an old building has such atmosphere, I miss this place, it has its spirit.
We haven't used kitchen, but for sure it's a big advantage to have it
Towels, shower gel available
The location was perfect, off the main street, near St. John's Cathedral, and right in the midst of everything we wanted from Valletta. The room was modern, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very good, not many options as it wasn't a buffet, but the quality was very good. We ate at the hotel restaurant (Grana) and had delicious meals. Staff were very helpful.
The location in Valetta was perfect for our first trip to Malta. Convenient to the sites we could walk to, and easy to call an E-Cab. Also, just around the corner and down 162 steps and a short walk to the nearby ferry. If Ronnie is there when you check in, it will be a great start to your stay. Truly an excellent representative of the hotel at the front desk.
You can’t find a better location for that price in Malta. Included breakfast was great at the hotel rooftop with a great view. The electrical outlets in the rooms have a USB port, easy to charge mobiles, that was an unexpected super plus amenity. AC is old but it did its job. People at the front desk were extremely friendly and nice.
Very amazing staff and best view!)
New fresh hotel!!
In hotel places 1 M star restaurant- very delicious!) Must visit in Malta)
Big Room form 40m and very comfortable bed.
Battler help me found all: Maltese restaurant, place with good view.
in the heart of the old town, in an old building of authentic Maltese architecture, this mini hotel is the right choice to evoke the spirit of old Valletta. breakfast is served in a restaurant not far from there and the staff is very friendly
Location is in the mere old city center of Valletta. Room has all appliances needed to prepare or preserve your food with your own grocieries. Hotel mgmt were on our disposal and offer help or assistance if needed.
A gorgeous boutique hotel close to everything in the ancient city of Valletta.
Grace baked the most delicious pastries every morning, and we really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace.
Our room was delightful!
The apartment was comfortable, had everything we needed, was quiet and was so central to the beautiful city centre. Catriona was a really helpful host and responded quickly to our questions.
The staff was excellent! The roof top breakfast was divine! Our room was huge and had a great view of the tiny Malta streets! Loved all aspects of the hotel!
