Very comfortable surroundings inside and outside , lovely location and RM 4s view was lovely , sat for a meal around 7pm and it was delicious and enjoyed a few gins after meeting locals and visitors throughout the night, then a great night's sleep followed by a delicious full English , and a smooth exit and reasonable bill , definitely be back , thanks for your hospitality , the young man who help choose my gins was exceptional at his job x

We stayed in Saddleworth especially for Whit Friday celebrations and although the weather was mixed, it didn’t disappoint. We had beautiful blue skies for our walk in this part of the Peak District. Big skies and rolling moorland, very restorative

While Oldham town centre is much like many others you'd visit, the scenery in the nearby pennines is something else entirely. Walking, cycling and driving are all very enjoyable and there are loads of different routes to take. Snake's pass is a local favourite for motorcyclists. There are loads of beauty spots, just pick a route across from Oldham to Yorkshire and plan to stop for a picnic. One thing you should try in Oldham is a curry or kebab. Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi populations have been long established in the area and the food is affordable and fabulous even from the most basic of take-aways. After moving away from Oldham, I've found the standard of this cuisine isn't matched in many other places.

The room is not children friendly.
The room is not children friendly. It is untidy and the bin is rusty and filled with rotten dirt. The walls have mould and its peeling and the bed sheets are so dirty. The TV remote had no batteries and I couldn't find a way to turn on the heater for my children. When I chatted the host on how to do this, he responded okay. The host is also very rude and a liar. The room I was offered to stay with my kids and wife is room 1 but I rejected it and I had to get a hotel on another platform as booking.com could not provide one. It was a terrible experience for me and my family

Love coming home to Oldham, a trip to watch the latics, followed by seeing family and friends cant be beat
Make sure you check out the many great places to eat, such a great cultured atmosphere.
Transport links are perfect, people are down to earth and its always worth a visit
Loved the whole cottage! Very clean and we loved the hot tub. May have been the best hot tub we have been in. Only down fall is that we couldn't get to the front of the cottage to take photos of the place.
The bed was so so comfy. A nice little welcome when we arrived with prosecco and biscuits! Sadly no pen to write a lovely review in the guest book about our stay!
A 5 minute walk to the bus stop which took us directly to Manchester and other places.
I love staying here. The service, the location, the rooms and the breakfast are spot on and great value for money. I have stayed at much more expensive hotels and I have to say that BW Smokies is comparable, if not better in most instances. Anytime I am up in North Manchester visiting family. I have no hesitation in booking this place. The last time I stayed my wife came with and she loved it also. Great effort team Smokies.
The view was amazing and the messages sent before arrival were very good and have a clear description of everything! Lovely location and polite owner! I will definitely recommend to anyone who’s In Manchester central/ Oldham area.
I can’t fault the accommodation or hosts at all just my preference would be to have a floor length mirror as others are quiet high on wall 😂 and offer spare pillows for the twin bed room 😊
I stayed at the Grains Bar because it was just an hour's drive away from Manchester Airport and I was flying the next day. The hotel is located just outside Oldham in a very pleasant rural setting. My (double) room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary light breakfast although I can't say I enjoyed the loud music which accompanied it.
The host was amazing. Had a problem with the shower and despite it being a bank holiday it was sorted super quickly.
Facilities were top notch and the house is central to lots of walks, coffee shops and a local supermarket. You can reach pubs, canals and tourists attractions on foot. The train station is in walking distance for trips into Manchester.
Easy to find location and centrally located to Oldham city center (15 minute walk to downtown Oldham). Host greeted me warmly and showed me around the home, then after assuring I was comfortable and settled in, she politely vanished to allow me privacy. The room is huge and comfortable, with a comfy chair and enough room to really feel at home.
Presentation of the hotel was clean and crisp, but with old world charm in the bar. Room included a roll top bath and a separate shower and room had old furniture in keeping with the building. View over the front of the hotel looked onto the church and valley. Service was also very good as was the food quality
The hotel is beautiful, the staff are really helpful and friendly, they go above and beyond to help, lovely staff very polite, I would definitely stay there again, room was perfect, very clean, thank you for my perfect stay at Victoria hotel
The staff wrote me few days to check what time my parents were arriving, were polite and my parents said they enjoyed Thier stay clean, beds were comfortable and will definitely re book anytime they visiting Manchester again
