Absolutely beautiful place with amazing staff and facilities. Me and my wife had a very pleasant weekend getaway for a reasonable price. The drive from and to London was worth it

Warmy welcome in this pleasant british style hotel. Comfy cosy room with bath. The english full breakfast was really good as well. I thank particulary the hotel staff who was very kind. Close from the train station (5-10min by feet). I will surely come back at this place if I have to stay again around Rochdale. See you next time.

The highlight was the breakfast and the morning shower the room was next to the main road and road noise all night, the bed was too soft and old fashioned I am used to firmer modern beds, the room heat was not controllable and so too warm an uncomfortable night luckily only one night stay.

The scenery around Rochdale is picturesque. We were lucky enough to be driven around by a relative but otherwise it would be a good idea to hire a car to travel around. Not sure about public transport there as I didn't use it.

It was a good location.
It was a good location. The view was lovely, staff were pleasant.. I enjoyed the spa facilities and liked the morning breakfast. The bed wasn't very comfortable but other than that the rooms were ok and I was glad there was air con in the room.

The Pioneers Museum (birth of the world-wide Co-operative Movement) is a "must" and the Town Hall is magnificent both outside and in. The Pennines and West Pennines are both barely 15 minutes away from the centre (on the A58 direction Halifax and A680 direction Blackburn respectively) with excellent pubs (White House and Owd Betts) up on the moors and excellent views over Greater Manchester.

I only stayed in Rochdale one night.
I only stayed in Rochdale one night. Staying at The Red Lion I was able to relax as soon as I got there because I could have a good meal without driving anymore. There is an old church next to the pub and reading the headstones gives a good sense of history,
