Beautiful historic area with no shortage of excellent places to visit and experience. Close to some magnificent walks inc Runkerry strand with a lot of excellent places to eat . The view from the dining room at the golf club is unbeatable and the food was great. Also the Market Square restaurant was worth a visit as was the Bushmills Inn Hotel . Portballintrae is a small but beautiful village with amazing views and a very friendly community. It is a perfect base for exploring the Antrim coastline, there is a beautiful walk through the beach or boardwalk which takes yo u the whole way to the Giant's Causeway or into Bushmills if you wish. The village is a very short drive from Portrush and Portstewart, the local hotel serves top quality food with a view to match. There was a pod of Dolphins when we were there which was just incredible to see. I would recommend a stay here if you are looking to get away for a relaxing weekend with beautiful scenery all around.PaulIreland
