Love the casino and restaurants, weather not great for walking about and health issues we can’t do much walking. We ate in the Quays pub, very good and very close to the accommodation, Urban restaurant also very nice
portrush has improved over the last year or two but only because of the large draw for the nw200 and the golf tournaments. Currys amusements however is very expensive for youung families and i can understand that they needed to increase their prices because of electric etc but this has not helped their business. Anti-social behaviour has to be addressed in the town too. Especially where annoyance to Motorhome users are concerned. More Motorhome spaces need to be provided and better facilities to encourage holiday makers to the town at all times of the year
Love portrush ,beautiful beaches ,you can walk a fair bit ,plenty of cafe ,restaurant and of course Curry's (Barry's) great parking, one way system . Cant wait to go back ,lovely weekend break .Had food in Safron ,Indian restaurant ,lovely food .Has loads to do and see .
We liked the beaches, Studio overlooked West Strand beach, handy for Harbour Bar and Bistro. Boat trips round the Causeway are available here. I recommend the Adelphi Hotel for dinner and it’s best to book in advance. Charlie, our host, was very obliging and brought us.a table for our room when we asked for one, and advised us about location of ETMs when the restaurants had trouble with their machines. (A lot of their banks have closed down.) The East Strand leads to White Rocks. A big Thank You to Charlie and his wife Christine.
For exploring the amazing north coast, from Benone to Ballycastle and beyond, not forgetting the Giant's Causeway, as an international centre for golfers on this coast, and for some of the finest beaches in the U.K, including the beautiful unspoilt White Park Bay, Portrush is situated central to all this. The town itself is small and desperately crowded with cars in the high season, July and August. The Portrush Atlantic Hotel, once the premier of its kind and on a par with the Slieve Donard in Newcastle, is now disappointing. For shopping, The White House is worth a visit, as is Kennedy & Wolfendens splendid antique shop.
Loved Portrush the beach is just beautiful, excellent for kids, good safety measures in place on beach also. Lots of places to eat, think the shops are out dated!!! Alot of tat!!! Amusements are very dated!!! Nothing has changed much with the Amusements in 30 years since I went to Portrush as a child. Overall there's lots to do and the scenery is beautiful I would definitely bring my kids here again.
Portrush
Our whole experience was wonderful. Scott helped with our luggage and provided us with much appreciated beer after a long days drive. The location is great - near the train station and easy parking. Room was very spacious and well appointed - even waters next to the bed. It was quiet and we slept great. Scott cooked a great breakfast and was very helpful to talk to about sights in the area.
The place was a bit run down. Carpet was stained, there were dirt on the bed and the hair dryer would turn off every 15 seconds. It is impossible to dry someone's hair like that. Hotel is ocean front and the view from the hotel was beautiful. Breakfast did not have many vegetarian options.

Immaculate and modern room, owner Frank was wonderful, the cost was lower than all my other stays in Ireland. And breakfast was incredible. Get the pancakes with the bacon and fruit. Best hotel and breakfast in 6 days of travel by far. Plus nearby resturaunt, Urban, was exquisite.
