Ben and Anna were wonderful hosts. We mistakenly reserved our stay on the wrong date not knowing it and when we arrived for what we thought was the correct date of the reservation, even though this was our mistake they brought us in, sat down and met with us, offered us some tea, shared stories and gave us a room overlooking the harbor. How great was that! Plus, the breakfast was fantastic!

Our room was spectacular! The bathroom gorgeous! It’s not often you find a king size bed. The staff was one the best we encountered on our 14-day trip. We ate dinner in the restaurant because we could not find anywhere else to eat (Saturday without reservations in May!) It was honestly one of the best meals we had! I cannot say enough nice things about this property. So well done.

Very quiet! People were staying there but either the rooms are well insulated or the patrons are well behaved. Location is right on the causeway highway and the bus stops right outside the hotel.

I would say the town is now over developed compared to what I remember but lots of shopping, bars, restaurants. Beautiful beaches, lovely walks and convenient for exploring the north Antrim coast. For golfers, Royal Portrush is a championship course, actually two courses I believe. Unfortunately our visit was spoiled by inclement weather but that’s Ireland. Be prepared for all seasons.

If you want a beach holiday with rocky walks and scenery thrown in then this is a good place. Easy bus ride away (two an hour) is the Giant’s Causeway. The helpful tourist office in the town hall has timetables and can tell you where the bus stop is as it’s located in an odd place.
Not so much to do in wet weather conditions but good places to eat that had plenty of room.

Lovely town on the North Coast to base yourself for all the excursions around. Fantastic beaches and plenty of good food places. Weather can change at a moments notice with sun, rain and the wrath of the Atlantic all in a day, come prepared. If you golf there are excellent golf courses.

As long as weather is good there is no better place to be than at Portrush. The beaches the food the pubs all great and the people always make you welcome.
General shopping would be limited however, but in reality when you go to portrush your not really wanting to shop.

I scheduled in Portrush because of a visit to Giants Causeway. I was pleasantly surprised with the city. It is a very clean upscale beach town. My only regret is not realizing The Harbour bar was also a restaurant. We did end up eating in a more trendy "European" restaurant and did not discover Harbour Bar until after dinner. As a traveler from the US, I would have preferred the old friendly feeling to The Harbour Bar and wish it popped up in a search for restaurants on Google.
Northern Irish hospitality is legendary. Cheryl @128 epitomises such hospitality. We received a warm welcome and without being intrusive, we were treated like familiar friends. I know she said she was going into Portrush anyway, but she gave us a lift in and dropped us off at our restaurant! The accommodation is on a par with boutique hotels. It was comfortable and perfectly equipped. @128 is a gem.
This is a very well situated hotel, between the towns of Portrush and Port Stewart. These and other sites on the coast are accessible by bus, if you don’t want to drive. The bar serves good food but there are other restaurants nearby too. The staff were very lovely and helpful, providing us with bus timetables and other useful information. The room was a good size and well equipped.
Caroline is amazing! She is the best host you can get. If you are looking to stay with a local family and meet people this is the best place for you. Don't expect to find a hotel room and ready - served breakfast, but expect to like your stay so much that you won't want to explore the area but instead stay indoors with Caroline. We are already thinking how to get back soon!
