From the moment we arrived, Maria and her mother, Kanela, welcomed us with warmth and genuine hospitality. They were superb hosts, attending to every little detail to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Their care and dedication made us feel like family, and their daily efforts kept the property impeccable. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean, thanks to Maria and Kanela’s meticulous attention. They went above and beyond, changing towels and even the complimentary slippers three times during our seven-day stay, a level of service that truly stood out. Every corner of the suite reflected their commitment to excellence. Breakfast was a highlight, masterfully prepared by Eleftheria, who curated a vast and delicious spread featuring the region’s specialties. Each morning, we were treated to an array of local delicacies, from fresh pastries to savory treats, all bursting with authentic Maniot flavors. It was a culinary experience that showcased the area’s rich heritage. The location of Armantanis Luxury Suites is ideal, just a 2-minute drive or a leisurely 12-minute walk from the charming town of Areopolis. This balance of proximity and tranquility made it easy to explore the vibrant local scene while retreating to a peaceful haven. In every way, Armantanis Luxury Suites exceeded our expectations. Maria, Kanela, and Eleftheria’s passion for hospitality, combined with the stunning accommodations and prime location, make this hotel a must-visit in the Mani Peninsula. Everything about this property is exceptional, from the place; to the view, to the rooms, to the pool, to the perfectly curated gardens, but most of all the staff is just AMAZING. We had a beautiful light and spacious room with a large bathroom with a wondrous super duper shower! The room was quiet and air-con perfect. The location is totally central in the main square. The inclusive breakfast was really good with a large variety of choice. The staff were also very warm and welcoming.

    Romantic little town with cobble stones pathways and a relaxed vibe - food was authentic and everything was close by which made walking easy with 2 children. The beaches in the near area are also very stunning Gerolimenas as has great fish tavern right on the beach. Our fa our ire meal was at mavromichaikiko roof top with stunning views I’d the sunset. Our highlight was Fonda’s beach and having fins with the kids through the caves and fantastic snorkelling at alypa beach .

    Areopolis is quaint and has an active night life (bars, coffee shops). The bar AULA was excellent with nice drinks and music. We did not eat well in Areopolis (Mavromichaleiko served us uncooked cheese pie and had very poor service), but Kourmas at Limeni right on the sea (just 5km away ) is an absolute MUST. Also a drive to Stoupa, Agios Nikolaos and Kalogria Beach (30-40mins drive) is an excellent day trip. We ate at Agios Nikolaos at Elli's taverna which was EXCELLENT. Kalogria beach is SUPERB and Kalogria restaurant run by Christos is EXCELLENT, right ON the beach.

    It is such a cute lively town - the stony buildings, small taverns and cafes. It is located in Mani, my favourite part of Greece. We travelled with car, and in September it was easy to find parking places. We also visited Limani, a beach/village 10 min drive under. The sea was great, you can even spot turtles there! We took some pasteries from the local bakery near the town's main church! Did not regret it 🙂.

    A romantic town, I preferred it to every other small towns in the region including others to the north and south. While others were closer to the water, they didn't have the charm. Most had the main road running through the middle, while Areopoli had the road run on the northern edge, which allowed the streets to be shut down at night (possibly just the weekends?) For pedestrians only and turned into a lively romantic location with many restaurants and shops. There is a large public parking square that you can leave your car near the Petrounis hotel. And if you'd like to swim, Limeni village, the most picturesque village I've ever seen is down the hill, a 4 minute drive away, which has a nice swimming area. (Stay in Areopoli though as Limeni is basically made up of a few stone houses and sparse restaurants.)

    A magical place! Very atmospheric, different, typical! Charming cafes and shops. Very typical taverns, cozy and reasonable prices. Old oven for delicious bread and snacks! We had dinner at Palaiopolis Tavern. The service was fast. It was tasty ! Aeropoli is a very historic and beautiful town! You must visit it! Give it enough time!

    Very happy with areopolis little Greek village but with plenty of nice bars and tavernas visited early December but still had no problem we found great bars within minutes of guest house plus a fantastic restaurant

    Mani Spot is located in the town center and convenient with everything. The host, Maria and Georgia, is very warm and considerate. It seems a brand new hotel and with complete kitchen devices for making breakfast and coffee. The quilt and and pillows are quite comfortable.
