The Stanwick Hotel, hotel in Thrapston

This beautiful 3-star boutique hotel in Stanwick, Northamptonshire, is located in 2 acres of gardens. It has a restaurant, a bar and rooms with private bathrooms.

Although the room was a little small, it was quite satisfactory for a night or two. The bed was comfortable and the cleanliness very good. The vegetarian breakfast was excellent, as was the egg mayonnaise sandwich with salad and chips. The bar is friendly and during 'Wacky Wednesday' the beer is cheaper to buy. I had the impression that 'Locals' frequent the bar, which is a good sign too. Parking spaces are plentiful, which given the location is essential.

Found people in the pubs very friendly and would recommend small local toy shop jolly’s toys & games. extra friendly and knowledgeable about the area, Would not recommend The Den at the Auburn Fox as hoovered whilst we were having cream tea and felt more of a nusiance to them rather than paying customers

Thrapston is very pretty and hasn't changed much

Thrapston is very pretty and hasn't changed much The bridge hotel is on the river nene which is lovely. It is very near the motorway so handy for venturing out on day trips e.g. wickstead park in Kettering.

No heating in my entire stay, room not cleaned for two days, had to find the cleaner to organize my booked breakfast. This was very unpleasant as I ended up with a rotten cold. But find it very strange as stayed there previous many times & all not bad. Also I’m a overseas traveler.

Stayed here last night and can say it was brilliant, Hedi the manager was absolutely fantastic, friendly and made our stay a wonderful experience. I took my mum here as a birthday treat and we enjoyed it that much we didn’t want to leave. The breakfast was tasty and fresh and had a lot of choices and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. we are going to stay regularly now and are looking forward to returning again. Thanks Hedi!

Loved our stay - we stayed with work and my partner had to leave for a meeting, the staff were fantastic and allowed me to stay in the room and work - the staff were fantastic. The hotel is going through a renovation but this certainly didn't spoil our stay... the bedroom was lovely and clean... would love to return, Thanks again x

We can't speak highly enough of the bridge hotel. Our room was very comfortable and it was so nice to have a bottle of water each as well as the teas and coffee. Breakfast was very good hot and well cooked. We had to wait for our train today but sat in the lounge area for a couple of hours. We will look forward to going back .

It was a lovely room in a listed building. It was a shame that the hotel no longer served breakfast. It was a brief stay en route to a wedding nearby.
