Really mixed feelings about the place.
The good: location is key - loved being in the rainforest, hearing the wildlife and close to the national parks and Gamboa as well as the canal. The staff in Mulligans bar were excellent and always had a smile. The bed was ok and the shower had good pressure/plenty of hot water. The butterfly sanctuary was fabulous - much better than Gamboa's.
Holiday Inn Panama Canal offers its guests an outdoor pool set on a landscaped courtyard. The hotel also offers wired internet access for free and has an equipped fitness center.

The Staff was AMAZING! When I arrived I was greeted by a smiling Mr.Wilson. He made me feel truly welcome. Then I met a team at the front desk, I do not remember all the names but Paul was reallu sweet and professional, patient with me. I do not speak English.
Esther was wonderful she made sure I was taken care of by extending herself and letting me know that anything I need I can reach out to her especially where the restsurant was concerned due to the language barrier.
I cannot forget Astrid I had forgotten hair ties and I asked her for a rubber paper band. She said it would tear my hair so she gave me one of her very own hair band. Avero was welcoming....
I really cannot remember all the names but everyone was awesome, I cannot wait to return to Beautiful Panama and your Resort. I stay at Holiday Inn all the time. This is my favorite!!

The location was very good for enjoying wildlife, mainly bird photography from the back deck. It was generally quiet with the exception of the noise from a house in the neighbourhood that was being renovated. No fault of the host. Ceiling fans and portable fans helped circulate the evening cool air as there is no air conditioning. The beds were comfortable and rooms quite spacious.
