The room was stunning - super comfortable with a huge wall-mounted TV screen; immaculate fittings/decoration and a wonderful king-size bed. One of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in.

What a gem. So pleased we found Purchases, and had just the best stay. Dinner was too drawer and breakfast excellent.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, so different and would highly recommend.
Weather was lovely and sat with Prosecco on the decking,which was on ice for us when we arrived.

As something of a history buff staying in such surroundings was quite special, the evening reception gentlemen were particularly helpful---it was a really foul evening weather wise and allowed me to leave my car in the "reception" car park rather than battle the elements walking from the regular one. Only wish I could have stayed a little longer (in better weather) to appreciate the grounds fully.
