Staff helped me to change rooms when I was put in a room with a bed with a footboard, which I am too tall for. The bathroom was modern. The silence in the night was impressive. I could sleep without earplugs. Staff were very kind and helped me down with large luggage upon check-out.

Breakfast was heavenly: delicious and such attention to detail. I live in Japan and this was right up there in terms of 'omotenashi' which means hospitality. Furnishings, decor also first rate. I want to live here!

Machynlleth is a great town to visit, but very quiet on Mondays with a lot of shops/cafes closed. MOMA is great for those enjoying gallery space and there are several antique shops for browsers. The Deli near the clock tower has wonderful offerings, sadly the kitchen was closed the day of my visit but I left with bags of goodies to eat later. Wednesday is the day to visit when the market takes over the wide main main street.

I've been in love with Machynlleth for decades and will literally tell anyone to go there. Except don't, because I'd like to keep it for myself please. The highlight of one of this year's trips was the Machynlleth comedy festival which I'd not made it to before but was superb. Easy access to incredible beaches and incredible countryside. Some of the best (Michelin starred) restaurants in the country from Ynyshir to SY23 in Aberystwyth. Great shopping - definitely always make time to pop in the Deco Shop.

If you like the peace and quiet away from people with great views from every window. Sheep in the fields to watch. But close enough to everything you need ie restaurants, takeaways, pubs, walks, beach, shops etc then you’ll enjoy it as much as we did. You also had all of the amenities and equipment to cook for yourselves if that appeals.

If you want to get away from the current troubles all around the world this is a good place to be! It has all the amenities needed along with a wonderful sense of stability and sanity. I felt refreshed on leaving - as I always do over 50 years of visiting this beautiful town. I will be back!
The Co-op has a great store within a store for all sorts of bargains - like leather belts for €6 and quality copy perfumes for €4! And the nicest assistant ever!

Easy to find with good available parking. Very nice clean tidy room with comfortable bed. Tea/ coffee making provided. Towels, soap etc provided. Room was very warm, maybe a little too warm but heating wasn't on. Door could be locked and a key provided. Friendly pub 5 mins walk or evening meals. Continental breakfast included but no cooked meals.
Host was very friendly.
Would be very happy to come back and to recommend to others.
Delightfully comfortable and welcoming. Mo is a very gracious host and cooks an amazing and plentiful breakfast, she really looked after us. The location is stunning and the view from the window down to the river is beautiful. Situated in the small hamlet of Forge just over a mile outside of Machynlleth. A plate of homemade Bara Brith on arrival was delicious. We arrived on our motorbikes and there was safe level parking. A lovely comfortable lounge, conservatory where breakfast was served and cosy double ensuite room. A real home from home.
Beautiful location, quiet, calm, cosey cottage.
Main focus of the stay was to mountain bike around the dyfi forest and cwm cywarch and the cottage provided a perfect base for that. Local village is very quiet and the local pub is a good one, there’s brigands bar/hotel a mile up the road too. Stunning mountain view’s on the drive back to Dolgellau
Beautiful location in the Dovey valley with superb view north to the hills. We had a spectacular sunset. Quiet and peaceful. The hotel has been refurbished with an Italianate theme - clever use of gold paint and quirky decorations. Great breakfast with good choices.
Fantastic property in an incredibly picturesque location, the waterfall in the garden being a particular highlight!
The hosts were very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and very helpful!
Great breakfast.
We look forward to staying again in the future
Lovely room, luxurious bathroom. In a very convenient location for Machynlleth Comedy festival, 10mins drive. Host Rhian, was friendly and efficient. She supplied a hearty continental breakfast, including oat milk as per our online request.
Very quiet and welcoming, beautiful views and stunning location. Great base to explore the surrounding areas. Great shower and very comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen.
Absolutely the most quaint b&b, the Lady was so very nice and welcoming, the breakfast was great after a long night. Thank you! Bathroom was Spectacular as well
Wonderful host. Great breakfast options. Stunning location. House full of character, in quiet rural hamlet, but close to good facilities in Machynlleth.
