We went for a Cancer Survivors Celebration, and while there we went b ack to the Museum of History in Forrest Park. It was more than our old broken bodies could handle and we left after two hours. Went to the "HILL", Italian section of town for dinner. We went to Mama's on the Hill and had another great meal. Meals are large, so we share a side salad and an entree. Never an issue, they bring an extra plate. There are numerous other Italian restaurants and we have eaten in several of them. All were good. The Hill is only about 2 miles from the Museum or from Barnes Jewish Hospital, take KingsHighway, prob North maybe west from the Hospital. Watch for signs about the Hill go about 1 1/2 miles or so crossing the two interstate hiways. Turn right off of Kingshighway either on Shaw or Southwest something. Right past a 4 or 5 story U HAUL business!

Despite initial concerns about safety, my personal experience contradicted those worries. I discovered that the area around the Arch and Ballpark Village was safe to walk around during the day, Had mouthwatering tacos and margaritas at Condado Tacos at the Ballpark village. ,To explore further, we opted for Uber rides at night and were rewarded with the breathtaking sight of the Anheuser Busch St. Louis Brewery lights. Explored the St. Louis Zoo, a free and delightful experience. Overall, while some caution is advisable, my trip revealed that with sensible precautions, St. Louis can be a wonderful and safe destination to explore. Will have to check out the botanical gardens on our next visit.

The city is empty. Nothing to do.
The city is empty. Nothing to do. On a Saturday afternoon downtown is empty. No shopping, no bars down town. If you have to go to st Louis, make sure you’re in a nice neighborhood out of centre. There are quite a few.

Our family spent Labor Day weekend at the Forrest Park Drury Inn and Suites. It was a very comfortable stay with everything that we wanted: great breakfast, comfy beds, and nice pool area. We spent time at the wonderful and FREE St Louis Zoo and the very interesting Science Center. What a great get-away!
This is a heritage sight turned into a hotel and events venue. It has a classic vibe and a very good value for money. Facilities are good except there seem to be no breakfast (unless you request it from the kitchen at a cost?). The area is nice, just a short walk away from the Gateway Arch and downtown with a tram station a block away to reach out other areas like the Forest Park, a pleasant green place in the mould of Central Park NY. There are a few shops towards the front of the hotel including a grocery store, a patisseries and a cafe
The price was affordable and the breakfast being included was a bonus. The staff were also friendly and helpful, ensuring some supplies were replenished when there was a crowd and they ran out.
During our stay, there were roadworks outside the hotel and the manager drove us out to a restaurant twice and even offered to pick us up. This was a kind gesture on his part, which we appreciated. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, even helping us to access laundry facilities when the ones there for guests were out-of -order.
I felt like the interior king room was large. I also found that room was very clean. The bed was comfortable for me; I had no trouble sleeping. It was nice to have amenities in the room like a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was well stocked in the morning and the cooked food was kept warm. I also liked that they offer the evening kickback. The staff we talked to was friendly and helpful. The hotel location is great for downtown sightseeing.
The hotel is well located and near most attractions, within walking distance from the St Louis Convention Center (30 mins). At the hotel we saw families and people who stayed there who also attended the convention center. The breakfast was OK. What we liked the most was the service: the lady at the front desk drove us to the supermarket to buy food on a Sunday night because everything was closed in downtown at the time. Above and Beyond. Thank you!
room was not in great standards for it to be considered some what of a "downtown" area. stains on couch, old blankets. Lack of cleanliness. i get its a budget hotel but it still should have better care than it does. Im sure this hotel make enough money to invest in better sheets, better sitting couches etc. Take time to invest in your buisness instead of just focusing on making a dollar. Last but not least, get some english speaking housekeepers.
Have stayed at many hotels in the downtown area and the Hotel St. Louis by far exceeded my expectations. From parking, check in and the excellent amenities were above my expectations. The rooftop pool and vintage vinyl record player in the room was a bonus too. Our corner king suite was simply a pleasure to stay in. Huge room, the hallway and large bath was almost over the top. Will be the only place we stay in the future downtown.
Really enjoyed the hotel- very nice! The rooms were much more spacious than I expected for a standard room. Beds were comfy, enjoyed pool and hot tub, sauna was a nice touch. The two different fitness rooms offered a lot of options. We opted for valet and it was an easy process and quick. Truly a visually beautiful hotel with nice aesthetics.
Marliss at the front desk was incredible. She went above and beyond and was just genuinely friendly and helpful. I wasn't super crazy about the room itself, but liked that it was a somewhat stylish alternative to more expensive hotels. Small thing, but big to me - coffee in the room. DELICIOUS coffee in the room.
Great location, with a view on a local football stadium and the Loop. Lovely hotel with nice and frendly staff. Checkout procedure was really fast, you only left card in you room. Room was clean with a TV with lot of channels on. Free pop-corn and soda in the afternoon. Superb pick.
Everything! When I visit family in St.Louis The Renaissance will always be my 1st choice. The staff, facilities, availability of food and beverages onsite, the cleanliness and security of the hotel are unbeatable.Thank you and keep doing the great jobs you each are doing!
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is downtown, yet parking doesn’t feel that way. It was super easy and convenient for parking! Not a lot of traffic. The hotel room was quiet. Huge plus!! Comfy bed with a good views. 10/10 recommend!
Last Hotel is a really underrated place to stay in St. Louis. Reasonable rates, friendly and helpful staff and nicely located on the edge of downtown. This is my second time staying here and I would do it again.
We were in St. Louis for a conference at the convention center, so the location was great. Hotel is near some restaurants and a short walk to the Arch and river. The room was large and the bed was comfortable
clean, pool is CLEAN and hot tub is great, free parking, best stores and restaurants.
this hotel is 20ish min from downtown but offers free parking with stay and is better price than downtown hotels.
