I really liked the location and cleanliness of the facilities. I read a lot of reviews before booking, the majority negative, but for me and my family, this hotel was great. The room was definitely smaller than other hotels, especially the bathroom, but we even got a view of the city, so I honestly dont understand people's complaints. Everything was clean, the lobby area was very well kept, and the hotel personnel was welcoming. Breakfast was nice as well, and everything was good. Everything was within walking distance from the hotel and the metro was close. The hotel let us keep the bags after checkout for later pickup so that was a plus as well.

Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.
Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground to the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, movie theaters and food courts.
From there, the metro will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.
In summer, stay closer to the historic quarter and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St. Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t good enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to Montreal Casino.
Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.

Getting around Montreal was easy.
Getting around Montreal was easy. We stayed at a central location and most things were within walking distance. Ubers are readily available. The highlight of our trip was lunch and spa treatments at Bota Bota. Our favorite breakfast/brunch places were Beauty's and Olive et Gourmando. The best dinners were at Beatrice, Le Taj, and Nora Gray. The ferris wheel at night was so much fun. It far exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and a hike to the outlook point at Mount Royal. The best shopping was pretty far up Saint Laurent Boulevard. I think it started around the 4000 blocks. Have breakfast/brunch at Beauty's, walk a few blocks to Saint Laurent and turn left to shop. I wish we'd planned our trip for longer so we could have done more street shopping, gone to Cirque du Soleil, visited some churches, and taken the train to Quebec City for a few days.

You could spend months in Montreal & still not see everything! I am always in awe of the architecture & beauty of this city. Although, we always seem to end up there on garbage pick up day. Lol.
I love how they try to preserve the old architecture, The food is amazing, the culture, sites & history is an absolute gem.

The buildings are beautiful. The mountain has lots of great look out points to access by the public. Lots of great theatre and shows in little nooks and on a grand scale.
Beautiful to walk. Lots of traffic but manageable with GPS.

This hotel is located well just off the #15 highway and close to downtown Montreal. Some restaurants close by. The room was comfortable and clean. Wifi was good and and parking right outside the door. The staff were very nice and efficient at the front desk. We have stayed here several times over the past 2 years when visiting family in Montreal and have enjoyed each stay. We will be back again and I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable hotel at a very good rate.
Great hotel. Beautiful small lobby, large, nicely appointed rooms with comfy beds. The location is walkable to most downtown/old town spots but it's in a commercial area, so it's not very lively at night or on weekends. The immediate area also lacks charm, as is common for a commercial area. But the metro is across the street, so it's easy to go anywhere in the city. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
Good location in relation to downtown Montreal. The room was small (with the shower cubicle next to the bed) but it provided all of the facilities we needed. Would suggest checking the layout of your room depending on who you are travelling with. We didn’t actually meet anybody from the hotel as all correspondence is made via text/email but this ran smoothly.
Amazing little hotel, downtown as downtown can get. everything seemed to be newly renovated and very clean. Bed was comfortable, plenty of restaurants and activities a few minutes away. Friday and Saturday evenings are really nice if you just head outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here when I visit Montreal again.
This is a wonderful boutique hotel. It's centrally located to downtown and Old Montreal. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was huge, well appointed and beautifully decorated. I wish we had more time to stay to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen, but we did enjoy espresso from the provided Nespresso machine.
Location close to City attractions, main streets, restaurants, old historic Montreal as well as to downtown and festivities. Close to Metro and Airport Bus stop also. Very convenient. Nice staff to talk with. Nice clean room. St. Denis street is a lively street full of variety of restaurants close to hotel.
The hotel was beautiful! Very nice rooms and lobby. Our room was on the smaller side; however, it was the perfect size for my friend and I. Location was pretty good! From the hotel to downtown Montreal it was a 10ish minute walk and 5 minute walk to Via Rail. Would definitely stay here again!
Location!!!! Excellent, very close to heart of downtown Montreal, can walk everywhere or take Metro. This is a very historical boutique hotel, lovely lounge and area for breakfast (included in stay). Clean, comfortable bed. Pet friendly. Excellent value for this location using Booking.com!
I'd recommend this room - for a single person. Room (and bathroom are small ). Location is excellent . Hotel is in the heart - of downtown Montreal - a 10 minute walk from the train station. Restaurant on site is for breakfast ( or brunch ) only ( only open until 2 pm).
I stay here at least once a month. Hotel Bonaventure has wonderful, helpful, caring staff. It also has awesome amenities, such as the 10th floor outdoor garden, swimming pool, and restaurant/bar. It is a perfect location in downtown Montreal by the train station.
It was an excellent experience... I have stayed at few chain hotels in Canada. This hotel by far is the best experience I had at a boutique hotel..
Everything was well thought out and exceptional attention to detail.. I will definitely recommend this hotel..
Location of the hotel, in the middle of everything, so it is easy to walk to downtown and not far from old city. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was good, if you have a room higher up, you do not hear any noise from street.
The hotel's location is fantastic, situated in the heart of downtown Montreal with easy access to popular attractions, restaurants and vibrant neighborhoods. The amenities provided ensured a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The Hotel is in a great location close to the train station, downtown and Chinatown. Easy connection to public transport and walks to Old Montréal. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast pastry was great!
The hotel located near Downtown Montreal and Old Montreal while still being on a quiet street. Amenities and bars were all a short walk away. The room itself was nice and the staff were very kind to us.
An excellent old hotel in downtown Montreal. Very reasonably priced, large rooms, that can fit the whole family. Nice breakfast bar.
This is an older hotel with older furnishings, but it is well run.
The hotel was well situated between Old Montreal and the Downtown area. Though the room was outdated it was clean, and the valet was helpful and prompt.
