We had a great stay at this hostel and can highly recommend it. The hostel is new, very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They offer different evening activities, which makes it easy to meet new people if you’re traveling alone or just want to socialize. We used the shared kitchen during our stay. The staff cleaned it every morning, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, the kitchen was often not very clean later in the day because some guests left it quite messy. That’s a real shame, as the hostel itself is not at fault at all. If you decide to stay here, please help keep the kitchen clean and wash your own dishes — it makes a big difference for everyone. The pool, on the other hand, was always clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay so much that we even returned to this hostel for another stop during our trip.

The location is right at the lake shore. The room was big and spacious, with a 'bigger then needed' bathroom, and a porch (ground floor balcony) which is the entrance to the room and it is facing the lake. This is somewhat a positive and a negative feature, since there is a great view to the lake, but also the whole room is directly exposed to be viewed by others. There is a great common area, a wooden dock with a hut, a semi-open bar/kitchen, an outside water cooler, a short pebbled entrance way that adds to the nice atmosphere to the hotel. It is really great that there are 4 kayaks that can be taken for free to explore the lake.

A beautiful new boutique hotel right on the edge of the lagoon . All of the fittings were of high quality and our room was large and comfortable with a wonderful view over the lagoon . Great to watch the sunrise every morning. The breakfast served every morning was delicious and the staff were wonderful. We enjoyed using the kayaks and there were also SUPs available for guest use . The hotel is very near to Cenote Azul which was beautiful for swimming . We also enjoyed visiting Los Rapidos and exploring the centre of Bacalar .

Absolutely lovely place with such kind and lovely owners. It was very homely and comfortable, while not feeling like we were in somebody else's space. We loved that there was a stove, oven, microwave, fridge and coffee machine in the communal area. It felt a bit like a hostel, except that the crowd was very mixed in age and also included families. We stayed in Mexico for four weeks and this was our favourite place.

We have found our personal paradise in this enchanted place by the lagoon. The water is incredible. It actually has several shades from turquoise to dark blue and is crystal clear. Right by the water in the shade under the trees, it is a wonderful place to relax even when the temperatures in Bacalar are hot. The area around the huts is completely unspoiled and far away from the noise of the road. If you're traveling by bus like we were, it's a 20-minute cab ride from Bacalar (there's no Uber). Ernesto and Camilla were excellent hosts. As we had no car Ernesto and family drove us all the way into Bacalar for supplies on more than one occasion... We enjoyed the (covered) outdoor shared kitchen immensely. We had all the necessary kitchen supplies to make lunches and dinners plus it was a great way to meet the other guests staying in the huts next to ours. And lastly there are 2 excellent kayaks to use on the lagoon...

The location is amazing, it seems to be in a tropical garden. The staff is very attentive and everything‘s been perfect as you can enjoy the beautiful direct access to the lagoon, a relaxing vibe and great food as well
