United StatesWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We are traveling across Australia and were very much in need of a rest, and a place where we could do laundry while chilling out watching TV or just strolling down by the water.
It is immaculate and the staff are BEYOND friendly which we loved. They had ideas of places to visit - we ended up visiting Rottnest Island simply on the recommendation of one of the girls at the front desk. She showed us photos on her phone that she had taken recently and it was such a great recommendation!
The reception area has snacks, water, drinks etc., in case you need to restock and there is tea/coffee etc., inside the room. The shower was nice and strong, the bed comfy and the view from our room (we were on the ground floor - room 46) was lovely. You simply cross the road in front of the place and you see the water, the boats etc., We LOVED our stay here and will absolutely stay again if in the area.

SingaporeWell designed and very lovely space and rooms were scented too! Captured the essence of Freo really. Amenities were also provided and we enjoyed the quietness of the space! The welcome snacks by their neighbour bakery was also really a sweet touch, and the freshly ground coffee was amazing!

United StatesGreat Charming Hotel. Huge private balcony was great! Good restaurants around. If the weather is good, train station is about 1/2 a mile easy walk from Hotel. We used the train to go directly to Freemantle.

If you have mobility issues, consider hiring a gopher.
If you have mobility issues, consider hiring a gopher. This will get you to most places from the settlement to Geordie Bay and all places in between. Really, it’s the equivalent to an e-scooter, only for mature people.

Hiring bikes was a great plan - we didn't get electric ones but got a good workout! It made getting to great viewing spots to see the beautiful sunsets and sunrises easy. The buffet breakfast that was part of our accommodation at The Lodge on Friday and Saturday was amazing (such a large selection). The bus ride to see around the whole island was good - we'd suggest using it first thing in the morning (about an hour round trip), and then you can choose which places you want to walk and explore more, by hopping on and off as needed - just don't miss the last bus back! There's loads of gorgeous beaches - especially one near Mary Cove. Super cute quokka are very easy to find in the main area - and even better to see them in their more natural habitat, out further from the central area as the sun goes down.

Very relaxed atmosphere - everyone friendly.
Very relaxed atmosphere - everyone friendly.
The ability to cycle without cars was great for us (retirees) and children (our grandchildren) - so we could spend time across the generations.
Wildlife interesting - loved the birds particulary: the welcoming swallows, the birds on the salt lakes and others all around the accomodation.
We had great meals at Isola, Sunsets, Havza and small ones at Discovery Resort and the Rottnest Bakery.
