The staff was amazing. Especially the hotel manager Liam. Really made me feel at home. The rooms were spacious and comfy. I couldn't ask for more! The location is also great at the heart of Freo with a fully equipped bar downstairs!

Loved the spacious room and the style of the whole place. It's a pub hotel but the room was very quiet. Comfortable bed and nice coffee.

Fremantle delivered as a relaxed historic location with a host of museums, tourist attractions, Bars & restaurants. Check out the tourist information in the centre of town for really friendly local advice on the sights and sounds of Fremantle. Don't miss a tour of the Prison and be sure to take in the contemporary breweries along the fishing harbour and as you gaze at the cranes of the loading docks.

    Public transport was very good.

Public transport was very good. The park in front of the hotel gave it a good seaside vibe and sad to say that I never got to ride on the big wheel! We ate at Millers Cafe for breakfast. The portions were big and the coffee was fantastic. We ate at a Vietnamese cafe , round the corner from the Esplanade Hotel. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. It closed quite early but it was a few doors down from an excellent ice cream parlour.

Fremantle has a variety of attractions for visitors

Fremantle has a variety of attractions for visitors Several museums are available to visit. I would recommend a visit to the Perth prison. You must visit Rottnest island and ferries are frequent. The town is famous for its coffee culture and many cafes are available for visitors to enjoy. The harbour area has a number restaurants and a large craft brewery that is worth a visit You can stay for few days or take the train or ferry from Perth and spend the day there.

A great getaway location, although we only live 40mins drive north of Freo. Genuine, historical, yet modern and constantly changing. Attended the beer festival on Friday 17th Noc '23. Great beers, atmosphere and the best comedians (Jon Pinder especially!). We have booked to come back in January for an Australia Day break away... Cannot wait! Thanks Freo!

Roundhouse, whaling tunnel and walk to South Mole lighthouse. Watching sun go down at Bathers Beach Club with cocktail in hand. Bars and eateries are fabulous - many excellent choices : Strange Company, Vin Popoli, La Sosta, Bread In Common, Darling Darling (aka Pirate Bar !), Emily Taylor. Tour of Republic of Fremantle gin distillery was great and if have more time can make own boutique gin batch. Freo markets are interesting enough to look through but ultimately not much of interest (for me) to buy - but an experience.

Parking was a terrible exercise if you can find it.

Parking was a terrible exercise if you can find it. Even parking well away from the centre of town was the most expensive I have seen in along time.Just means you spend less money the businesses around town. Greedy council so what are they doing with the money Fremantle residents should ask. Streets could be cleaner.
