Our stay was made truly special by Mrs. Marina, who paid close attention to every detail of our arrival. She even personally took us to a local restaurant for dinner and prepared breakfast for us the next morning before our departure.

This is a small, simple, clean hotel in a nice, safe, comfortable residential neighborhood. Ten rooms in total, ten minute walk to the Pablado metro station. Rooms are small and the bathroom tiny but the shower had great hot water. Breakfast included eggs made to order.
The staff was outstanding. The first day I was looking for a shorter route to the metro and the young lady offered to walk me there in the morning. Another gave me her personal cell number in case I needed anything or was having any problems. There are no amenities, it is just a place to stay. Great value for the price.
Lots of small shops, stores, bakeries etc. it is not a club area.
I felt very safe there and I was the only gringo around. People and families walking about all around until about 9. I did not venture outside the San Pablo area and was in the hotel by 9.
Very walkable, a number of nice local family restaurants and a small mall nearby. I did not venture outside the San Pablo area except to walk to the metro. There was a Velez shore outlet store where I bought some nice leather walking shores..
A good selection of both street food and sit down restaurants.
I was there for two weeks. I left by 9 am and did not return until about 4 pm. No amenities, it is a place to sleep. Great value.

Although the room was very small, my daughter and I managed to have a comfortable 4night stay at this Boutique Hotel. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has a nice shower. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is really good.

What I liked most: Tours of historical sites, Communa 13, food and overall it was as safe as any other city. Yes you need to avoid certain areas and don't do anything stupid but in general it was pretty safe.
What I didn't like: Not the most welcoming place. I very easily noticed that the moment local people realized I don't speak Spanish the color on their face went away. One of my tour guides told me that tourism has brought inflation with it and the locals are kind of not happy.

Let’s see the pro and cons… pros mall and grocery store is a couple of blocks away so you can get everything you want there ( exchange money, buy snacks, drinks, alcohol, great restaurants 3rd floor at mall, gym since I work out etc etc. ) and if you want more authentic Colombia food go up one block to find plenty of that and up 5-6 blocks with ton more restaurants and a park that everyone is gather were you can relax and chill with the locals. The only con is the hotel doesn’t offer more options in food for breakfast and room service but I know what I paid and they were great with everything else especially service, amazing friendly well above and beyond.

Santa Elena is beautiful, but it's very Cold! Always!! It's not just a seasonal thing, it's around 9000 ft altitude, so it's quite cold all year round. So dress appropriately! Also,houses don't have heating or insulation here, sometimes they'll have a fire place, but not always. I highly recommend booking places with a fire place as it makes a huge difference at night. Also, highly recommend you have a car when passing through here because everything is quite far!
We went to Piedras Blanca part of Parque Arvi, and to be honest I was underwhelmed. Perhaps because it's low season, many parts were closed, but it didn't seem that interesting to me.
We ate a Guadalajarra (2 Rs) restaurant. A tiny little Mexican restaurant, which I highly recommend!! We had the burger and the quesadillas, and both were excellent!

I loved the vibe in Medellin, all the cafes and bars. I loved the trip to commune13 tour and the cable car ride over the city. I also loved the trip to Guatape definitely worth a visit! The only thing I disliked about Medellin was after a certain hour, if you stay out beyond midnight it becomes a hub for prostitution and old men picking up young girls, its not nice to see!

Envigado is fine, not that special, but an OK area. A few stylish cafes a few blocks away in the Junin area, but lots of average bars with two or three stupid TV sets showing sports games that no one, of course, is watching. Only one out of every four does not have an attention grabbing awful TV, so it kinda cuts down the choices.
Medellin is a nice forested city and that is what makes Envigado good: as a part of a pleasant city.

I stayed in the area of El Poblado and I felt safe and enjoyed walking around. we went to nice restaurants and the church in the area. I went shopping in a near by mall, prices are hight but expected. I enjoyed seeing people exercising during the weekend. they close part of the street for miles to facilitate this. I also went to some tourist attractions and museums. Traffic is very heavy, but i did not have to drive. taking a taxi was very convenient. it is sad to see how many people don't even have a place to live and the difference between the rich and poor is very noticeable when driving around the city. I had to go renew my Colombian passport and even there the staff was very nice and accommodating. What i liked the best was, how nice people are.

A gorgeous town square with awning covered pedestrian friendly shops and restaurants surrounding the square. Sat at a street table in the shade and watched the world go by!! Also a casino there!! Thoroughly enjoyed the square several times during my stay.
