If you want a bit of an escape from the busy Medellin "big city energy" this is such an amazing alternative. I enjoyed my stay in the mountains. Waking up to birds singing made me feel like a Disney princess lol.

There are excellent places to eat.
There are excellent places to eat. We had lunch at a vegetarian restaurant near the bus terminal in the city center. The weather is very pleasant. The people are very friendly. There is a bus route every 15 minutes from Gate 3 of Rionegro Airport to the city center.

This little hidden gem of a town is quite remarkable.
This little hidden gem of a town is quite remarkable. Many restaurants and bars around. Everything is walking distance. A lot of motorcycles stop here and that's super cool to watch. Everyone is friendly. Lovely markets on the weekend. Beautiful church. Easy drive to Medellin and very close to airport. Affordable without sacrificing quality. I love it here.

Rionegro is beautiful. I did not like the hotel as I had a rough start with terrible service from the receptionist the day before the trip. No TV options, so feel it's over priced for such bad service.

it was just the last afternoon and night before our flight...
it was just the last afternoon and night before our flight back home. we did have coffee in the lobby cafe, had lunch nearby (2 min by car) and in check out at 5 am went super smooth. we were within 7 minutes at the airport- where we dropped of the car. it is very close and easy access to the airport, which was our purpose to book this hotel.

rionegro is lovely. star suites, not so much. there were cracks the walls, daylight and noise coming through. the bed was wet. ceiling tiles askew. apparently, it has no address, so GPS to locate is worthless. and i have to ask, how could a business like booking. com even promote a property like this on their website?

Perfect hostel to stay for a layover or when you arrive at a bad time (in the night for example). We arrived early in the evening at the airport and had another flight the next morning. It’s 5 minutes by car. Their airport pickup service is amazing (and included in the price). Very fast and simple, also good communication. The hotel itself is clean and like described in the pictures. Great value for money.

Loved the grounds of this hotel, the park like setting and the pool. The breakfast was amazing and excellent staff in restaurants. Loved that you never needed to leave the grounds but could get nice outside time. Also loved the shuttle to the airport even with a very early departure.

The location is fantastic and the hotel is unique and great ambiance. Eduardo is amazing he makes sure you are always good and he has such a great attitude. Dinner and breakfast were so delicious. We recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back again.

They have a good idea, obviously inspired by Japanese hotels. The grounds are gorgeous and well laid out, with beautiful flowers. I'm sure the mini golf course is a great draw for some.
