Vista Mirage was absolutely wonderful. The apartments were clean, we had everything we needed and the team that worked at the resort were amazing. They went out of their way to ensure we had a marvellous break. Big thanks to David who couldn't have been more helpful from the first day when he ensured we could get into one of our rooms a bit early. He was exceptionally kind. The pool was beautiful, the gardens and communal areas clean and tidy, the laundry facilities super accessible and the location perfect for our elderly parents who weren't driving but found the walk to the local Ralph's and CVS really helpful. We were there for a family get together over the holidays and it was perfect. It definitely exceeded our expectations and we will go again.

What wasn't to like - the host went above and beyond with communication and was extremely accommodating, especially as this was relatively last minute booked for ourselves as we were stopping by between Joshua Tree and San Diego.
The area is private, with I think a total of 8 suites, so it's perfect for solo or couple of travelers that are hoping for a bit of peace, some fun inflatables in the pool and boutique chill vibes.
The bed is super comfortable and the room was perfect. It was very hot when we stayed and the air con was quiet and coupled with a ceiling fan.
If you happen to stay when it's very warm, the location is very close to the sec-he spa which is also well worth the trip to cool off.
Thank you for being so accommodating and creating such a peaceful place to stay with views of mountains 😊

A cool place to visit but very spread out so without renting a car there is a limited amount to do beyond eating at nice ish restaurants/cafes, pools and cocktails. Restaurants and bars can be fairly expensive downtown. I would recommend visiting but if staying right downtown would recommend maybe 4 days instead of a week. A week was too long for nature lovers downtown since most trails and parks require car rental which we did not get this time. Worth the car rental to get out to Joshua Tree and more in the desert.

Cathedral City is an excellent city to stay when you're staying in the Coachella valley. It is central to either the East valley or Palm springs area it's clean relatively safe with plenty of restaurants and entertainment nearby. A great choice to stay for either business or pleasure families or traveling alone

We were there maybe an hour. Smelly, old 0ld carpet, lumpy worn out sofa and bed. Tried two different rooms. Cannot get through to front desk by phone had to traverse the enormous grounds which would be nice but not Ada friendly. Customer service is non existent and front desk not empowered to run a resort and spa (which is what this place is supposed to be).

Drug Addicts trading Bicycles in the back of the hotel when we first arrived. Watched the whole thing go down from the tinted windows of my car.
Even worse FILTHY floors!!! I mean FILTHY! I took a shower walked out to my bed for about 5 seconds and my feet WERE STAINED BLACK! I Had to wear my socks the whole time or have a towel under my feet.(picture shown).Drawers were worn out and dirty and so was the refrigerator! There was also fruit flies hanging out with us the entire time... not a lot but enough to make it feel even less clean.
So the SAFETY level at this place didn't feel that great at all!. I honestly can say I heard loud conversations at all hours of the day and especially from the hours of 1am-5am outside my room Not COOL for a Thursday night...
Also The most fascinating thing I've ever seen when it comes to a smoke alarms..... They had it all caged off and screwed down to the roof of the room. Dam people must be trading bicycles and staying there at the same time huh?!

This property is a total piece of crap.
This property is a total piece of crap. It’s just worn out the doors don’t don’t even fit into the frames bugs and including even snakes could actually cross through the front door. They made us do a pretty good job of trying to keep them clean, but to be honest, you can’t clean something that’s 70 years old. It hasn’t been taken care of to make matters worse. The staff is just so underpaid and so under trained they have no idea what they’re doing they and there’s a manager who is so stretched between three properties at the same owns and she doesn’t know where they’re head on or off. It’s just a really really bad situation all the way around I will never ever step for that place again and I don’t and I recommend that no one else does. It’s just disgusting and it’s it’s just a horrible experience. I mean everything about it from start to finish this horrible

Too many kids and the lazy river was filled with kids and couldn't even more sitting in the tubes. Kids walking around in the river while in the tubes and splashing and kicking water in my face. Gave us the wrong room key card and wrote it down wrong. Never again, ever!
