Hotels near Da Nang International Airport - DAD, Danang

Overall best vacation experience I’ve had. The beach is one of best in world. The food is top notch as everything is bespoke. BA NA Hill sky lift into the mountains is a hidden treasure. The many luxury and boutique hotels are affordable and include unique features like rooftop bars/pools with breathtaking views. Very close to Hoi Anh world historical district. Also home to unground EDM music scene.

For a city in Vietnam it's great .... clean and reasonably quiet ... well laid out ... and the beach side of the city is very nice ... cleanish sea ,sandy beach ... even a few small waves to surf occasionally ... all in all a nice place to visit and very easy going ....

One of the main attractions of Da Nang are its beaches. I am not a "beach person", but from what I could see they were very clean and not crowded. My interest was mainly in history and culture. There are numerous temples of course, both in the city and on the outskirts. I visited the large Buddah and temple at Chùa Linh Ứng. It was worth the time, but very crowded. Also crowded was Marble Mountain. The Ho Chi Minh Meseum complex was better than I was expecting. Here there were no crowds at all. The Dragon Bridge fire and water show (9pm Friday/Saturday/Sunday) is a must see. There are numerous viewing points both close-up and a little distant. The display is exceptional and long-remembered, I also enjoyed eating at the local restaurants. I arrived by train from Hue. The homestay I was staying at was within walking distance from the railway station. I left from the airport. This too was within walking distance from my homestay. There can't be many cities where the airport is within walking distance of the city centre.

Stayed mostly near the beach so don't really know what the inner city area is like. The beach itself is really nice and pretty but overall crowded. Prepare to walk a lot (or pay for rides) as most things are far apart with little to see in between. Suitable if you want a relaxing/chill trip. Tip: Do try the avocado coconut ice cream at Bac My An Market.

The trip was very insight coming for someone who before now had not traveled outside the US let got on a plane since the age of 2 (29 now). Unless you a fairly versed in Vietnamese be prepared to have an Google translate (which on a positive note, most of the locals know how to use very well) because most of the natives speak very little to no English. Also if traveling for a short time download the app Grab to get transportation, food, etc as it's super cheap and they are literally all over the city so pickups are quite quick. Lastly, make sure you have enough of the VND when making purchases as many places don't except card which can be difficult while overseas.

Da Nang - A must visit if going to Vietnam. Quieter than Hanoi and bustling Saigon but wonderful scenery and extremely good at catering for the tourist. Visit Ba Na Hills and make sure you have time for day and night at Hoi An. The Han market is also worth a visit.
