GiseLa the matriarch, artist , owner , and creator of not just a house, but a home away from home situated in a very green suburban neighborhood easily accessed by the nearby tram. This period in Cologne was very busy with congress' , festivals, conventions , and tourists. There were very few reasonably priced places to stay. Gisela's place was just a few more euros than some overpriced dormitory hostel beds. I felt very blessed to have such a huge, comfy, 3rd floor apartment all to myself, and the freedom to have wonderful conversations downstairs with Gisela in her garden studio area. Like the detail in her beaded pointilism art, Gisela provides a well attended stay complete with many towels, cleaning supplies, dishes, glasses, cutlery , tea and tea set, hand sanitizer, hot water kettle, and even a little library. The bathroom is also well supplied, clean, with a wonderful shower stall ... hot , strong, water . and fancy soap ! The tram station is a pleasant tree-llined stroll from the front door; it was so interesting to be in old cologne and within minutes , return by tram to this calm quiet green harbor of a neighborhood. and the best part: Hostess Gisele !

I drove my car. Parking was very convenient just in front. And just a short drive to the park and ride for the train, with another tram station within walking distance. Full kitchen for cooking and very practical room layout. Very quiet street at night.

We loved how the place was furnished and the creativity put into every detail. Very close to public transport (10 min to the bus stop, 15 min bus ride to the main station) and close to some shops and restaurants. Definitely would stay again next time we are in Köln!

The Host Marion was so helpful and friendly with directions etc making sure we found the Apartment easily! The Apartment is beautiful and so clean it was a pleasure staying there! The Kitchen had every kind of Appliance big and small that anyone could ever need! The Fridge was even stocked with Beer's and drinks plus other Food if you were Hungry etc. Amazing place and super Host made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks again Marion!

Over a restaurant in a street of restaurants, so no problems with finding something to eat. Very good double-glazing, so although overlooking busy part-outdoor restaurants, no noise issues at all Large studio apartment, spotlessly clean, with spacious bathroom and excellent large walk-in shower. Very good value for money.
