The staff were lovely. Free parking. Excellent location in a gorgeous place. Liked the access from the room down to the car park. Enjoyed quiz and bingo on Friday night. Amazing prize money. Lovely breakfast and enjoyed evening meal. Fridge in the room, which is a bonus. Comfortable room and good night sleep.Close to all facilities and walks and castle and the caves.

Felt like arriving at a welcoming family, ready to advise us to ensure we make the best of our stay. Jan and Neil were very helpful and helped plan our hikes in the region. Breakfast fruits and yoghurt were delicious.

I had a friendly welcome and lots of information to help plann hikes if needed. Location was great and close to the station. Great access to lots of excellent walks. Overall a very comfortable stay.

We had an absolutely lovely stay! Lynne was so hospitable and prepared fantastic breakfasts each morning which we opted to add on each day. Fantastic location in between so many great Peak District hikes and towns. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

    The breakfast I had was very good, I needed to leave at the same time breakfast started. Chef kindly served me early and I kept it simple having mushrooms and poached eggs (yum) on wholemeal. Room very quaint but modern, lovely rickety floors and a cute low window overlooked the hills. Pizza box in the 'garden' was lovely. upstairs had a small private balcony which was a nice touch had I been with my hubby and in great weather. Overall very good and I would recommend/stay again as a base for walking the area.
