Cheap hotels in Gora

My kids love the Japanese style house. a lot of kitchen ware ready to use, and it's so convenient, especially in a place that restaurants close soooo early.

What a lovely and efficient little apartment! It was really clean, and had everything we needed. Not a bad walk from the station (10 minutes), although Gora is hilly and you will get good cardio exercise! We really appreciated having the laundry facilities (as well as detergent)!

It's a nice a quiet place with a ton of space. There's a great cafe next door that sells great food and the combini is nearby as well.

We had 6 travelers, and this was everyone's favorite stay in Japan! We were so bummed we had only planned 1 night there - everyone said it was the most comfortable beds, comforters, and the most relaxing stay!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the accommodation and was able to unwind and relax after a full day out discovering Hakone! It was right near the Open Air Museum and fairly close to the station! Only thing is there is a steep hill when getting to the place, but there is an alleyway where you can avoid the uphill by going down from the accommodation (unfortunately does not show on Google Maps). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the place was so spacious and clean! Easy to retrieve the key as well! Thank you again!

The shared common spaces were inviting and felt very relaxing. The lighting was perfect with little tea lights and candles everywhere. Nice views of the surrounding area from the large windows. The bedroom was like a cozy little treehouse. It was raining the night I stayed, but I spent a lovely evening in the lounge with a glass of red wine and the delicious Basque cheesecake. The breakfast was lovely, also.

The hotel is excellent both in price and facilities. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor inner onsen (hot bath) facility for men and women in separate rooms. This is a traditional onsen, so you'll have to be completely naked to attend it. The place is far from Gora center but can be accessed by public transport or taxi or car. One way is to use the funicular train, which takes you to Gora downtown, or the cable car station to Togendai (the ship cruise lake Hashi area). We used the bus to get here but decided to use a taxi all around because it was quicker. Use the Go app for that, or use the reservation through hotels and restaurants. The apartment is spacious and includes all amenities like a washing machine and dryer, two toilets, and a traditional Japanese bath. The kitchen is fully equipped if you decide to make your meals. Make sure to buy the groceries in Gora since there is no large grocery shop nearby. There is a small and modest one next to the hotel run by a lady so that you can find some valuable products there, but this is not 7-11 or something like that. Next to the hotel, there is a delicious restaurant named Kazamidori. We liked the food and the family operating it. Another place worth mentioning is the paSeo, which is a few minutes walk from the hotel and serves a tasty breakfast bakery. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The title Japanese hospitality deserves its title in this hotel. The hotel has a nice lounge area with vending machines and a massage couch (just one, so make sure to catch a sit when empty). Overall, we liked the hotel. The view is of the forest outside, and no other houses or hotels are in front of you. The staff also helped us receive and send our luggage via the Yamato transport service with no additional fees—very kind of them.

The opportunity to stay in a Japanese villa, in a great location by Lake Ashi, with a kitchen and plenty of space was amazing. Then, the hot springs shower and tub was super special. It truly was healing to our bodies that were a bit worn out from travel. Yes, stay here! We hope to stay longer next time. It was a little hard to find. Yet, a kind gentleman was watching out for us and directed us.

Beautiful, modern, clean space. I wish I could have stayed more nights. Hotel is near bus stop and right in front of 7/11. Friendly staff! Very happy with this property.

Everything, the private onsen is amazing with a stunning view on Fuji mountain and Ashi lake. The room was spacious and had a huge balcony with a foot bath and chairs. This is highly recommended place to stay.
