Our stay at this ryokan was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by the incredibly kind and attentive staff. Even though it was a separate cabin, as a solo female traveler I felt safe and secure. People working at the counter were kind and helpful, food was great, I loooved the onsen and the view, even when the weather wasn’t perfect. The host also gave me a ride to the bus stop when the weather was really bad and it was hard to go on foot, so I really appreciate it. Also at the cafe there is an old Gramophone and you can enjoy listening to some old records, how amazing is that? One more thing - I think this property would be perfect for families with children. You can be loud and rowdy inside the cabin (with windows closed of course) without bothering anyone. I even received a JBL speaker from the host and enjoyed some beats and loud music, something that I can’t do in my Japanese apartment. Oh and also if you’re European I recommend setting the onsen to 35, personally I wasn’t able to handle hotter than that.
