The location is very central and easily accessible. The restaurant is very new and beautiful. We had a great breakfast and also chose to have dinner there. The dishes were homemade, authentic and delicious. The staff boys were very friendly and accommodating. Very convenient parking in front of the hotel.

I was really looking forward to my stay here cos of the reviews and photos I had seen. Our stay was marvellous. Our bus from Tirana stopped just few mins away on the main road so we didn't have much problem walking in with our trolley luggages. Staffs were helpful and approachable, providing me with a tea set when I requested. Room was cosy and nicely warm. Everything was clean and wifi was strong. The view from our balcony was superb and it was very peaceful sitting out enjoying the view. Breakfast was delicious with a couple of varieties provided at our preferred time. Just a few mins out from the guesthouse, you will find the stretch of shops and restaurants and a big supermarket. It's a nice walk through the boulevard. The other side of the road brings you to the hills and a great view. For the Muslims, there is a mosque very near the guesthouse. The bus stop which will bring you to the bus terminal is very near to the guesthouse. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We LOVED this family run hotel so much we ended up booking an extra night. The room was comfortable and had a huge balcony with mountain view. The breakfast was phenomenal and the staff was incredible. Even with the option of eating in town, we preferred having lunch at the resto/bar. The position is perfect since there is hassle-free parking and you can reach the city centre in just a few minutes. Excellent value for money.

Berat is a must see.
Berat is a must see. The people are super friendly and helpful. If you take the bus, find the bus stop to take it to the city centre. I walked 45 minutes from the bus station to the city centre. I wish someone told me I could take a bus ahead of time. When you leave, take the bus from the city centre. The staff on the bus were friendly signalling to me when to get off.

The castle is large and interesting and no charge . Parking under ground in the town was 100 Lek/ Euro per hour and keeps the car cool . The friendly house restaurant has great views and good food . Two historic areas to wander through - very enjoyable.

Berat is such a beautiful city.
Berat is such a beautiful city. If you love ancient cities with lots of character and charm you will love Berat. The cobbled alleyways with shops/restaurants and hotels hidden away in every bend was so lovely to walk through. Felt like we transported back in time. We stayed in hotel Ansel which was very well located and the hotel had free parking. The hotel also had stunning views of Berat. It was easy to walk to all the sites in Berat. We also drove to osumi canyon and did the river rafting which I would highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere and beautiful place.
Lovely atmosphere and beautiful place. It was fun staying in the castle for a couple of nights. Highly recommend the Vila Art if you want somewhere to stay. We ate in the castle and in the town, the friendly restaurant opposite the bridge over the river served great food and wine with an amazing view from the terrace.

The basic opinion is very simple ; in reference to famous words of the most valuable things for success are 3P's ; People ,People and People. I mean the Albanians. And although Berat City is located a bit outside of the main route of planned goals of tourist trips it's worth to being there at least a few days. I plan to go back there very soon. Jarek

We had over half a day (arriving at 3pm and leaving by 11am)...
We had over half a day (arriving at 3pm and leaving by 11am), the area is very walkable and as it was summer, we could walk after dinner till about 8pm before it got dark. There is alot of life in the main square after dinner and that was nice to see people/ families in the park and at cafes. The lights of the buildings come on and is beautiful against the night sky. The city feels traditional and the buildings, churches & mosques there are interesting.

Location in the old section, the feeling of the old houses. Breakfast served in the garden in the veranda with great views over Berat. Spacious bathroom. AC. Free parking right in the old town. The staff also helped us with the parking, moving their own car and giving us their space. However be mindful that you need to carry your luggage up the hill a little bit with little bit of stairs, since you cannot park right in front of the hotel which is in pedestrian area only, but it's only maybe couple of hundred meters.

Hotel Klea
We had 3 nights here and it was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are nice with air condition. The breakfast was great and so was the food in general. The location inside Berat Castle is fantastic. The castle is beautiful and great to wander around in, so staying inside it makes this very convenient. There is parking next to the hotel, if you drive up through the old city gate. We had a great experience here, and I'll definitely recommend others to go here as well.

Hotel Orestiada
Great base to explore the traditional town of Berat. The hotel is run by a kind and welcoming family, eager to comfort your stay with a neat and clean room in this historic sight. Wake up in the morning with the smell of a wide variety of Albanian finest dishes for breakfast. Meet some locals in the evening in the hotel's bar while their kids are playing in the streets. Don't worry about any noise, the air conditioned room will grant you some great sleep.

Super nice hosts and amazing Albanian breakfast :) The hotel is located in more quiet area of Berat – which is a plus, but super close by walking distance. The hotel is located almost in the mountain which is amazing. Rooms are super nice and comfortable. You park on the street but there is enough place, also you just carry your suitcase via few stairs not like in the middle of the Berat – hundred of stairs :D AC also worked perfectly.
