The owner was really nice and helpful with everything, he parked the car and helped with my bags inside, the staff was nice as well. I really enjoyed my stay here, luxurious room with pool view, comfortable bed and a jacuzzi inside, the shower was good. The hotel is family friendly, so if you are looking to stay in a calmer place this is not it, but if you don't mind the kids playing by the pool at day time I recommend you stay here. The food was amazing and they make really good cocktails ☺️

Spacious apartments with a kitchenette, a family of 4 can comfortably stay here. Everything is clean and tidy. A large enough swimming pool and a nice space for evenings under the linden trees next to it. Enough space for cars near the hotel. t was a little oasis where we had a nice time.

From the moment I arrived at Vion Hotel, I was thoroughly impressed by the warm hospitality and elegant ambiance. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, with the front desk staff going out of their way to make me feel welcome. I especially appreciated the attention to detail—everything from the plush bedding to the modern bathroom amenities was top-notch. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet. We had a great stay here! The apartment was really nice and clean, and we especially loved the terrace — it was perfect for our 2-year-old to play when we weren’t at the beach. The beach is just a short 3-minute walk away, and the area is very quiet and peaceful. There’s a local store right next to the apartment, which was super convenient, and a few supermarkets just 1 minute away on the main street. The staff was amazing — super friendly and always ready to help. We had some car trouble when we arrived, and they helped us find a mechanic and kept checking in to make sure everything was okay. On the day we were leaving, our taxi was late and they let us stay a couple of extra hours, which was very kind. Overall, a lovely place with great people. We’d definitely come back!

    After almost 2,000 km traveled by car in nearly 30 hours due to countless traffic jams, we managed to arrive home without other problems, but of course extremely tired—yet with beautiful memories, to which you also contributed with your kindness and the valuable advice you gave us. We learned, with your help, that Albania is a beautiful country, still in a period of reconstruction, full of wonderful and hardworking people, always ready to help you with everything they can. But perhaps the most important thing is that they have not forgotten that Romanians and Albanians have been, and still are, brothers. We are connected by both past and present. The first thing that surprised us about our host was the outstanding cleanliness we found inside the apartment. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with absolutely everything necessary, air conditioning in every room as well as in the kitchen, clean bed sheets, immaculate white towels, etc. It has happened to me to stay in luxury hotels and not find this level of perfection. About the hosts, we have only words of praise. Even before our arrival, they checked if we were all right, if anything had happened, and during our entire stay they were always there for us—at any hour—through WhatsApp and even through Mr. Nardi himself coming to the apartment in person, even though they live quite a distance away. We were pleasantly surprised that we even had free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach. At our departure, they even offered to help us if we needed anything. Sincere congratulations to these people who once again showed us that Albanians are people with big hearts, always ready to help you as long as you respect them and come with good intentions to their country.

    Too much garbage on the streets.

    Too much garbage on the streets. No big seaside walk (existing one is separated from the sea, cannot see). Lot of constructions, and some buildings are abandoned. 7 euro per person for the beach (formally for umbrella? or per person? or per bed under umbrella? absolutely no info, no sign). This is cheaper than Spain/Italy/Croatia but the sea shore is not cleaned from algae. The sand is not cleaned. I would agree to 3-5 euro, or 15 for the family. Groceries, takeouts and cafeterias are mostly affordable and good. Fresh fruit street vendors are working long hours, I appreciate this. Night life exists, IMO lacks some relaxation, I don't know why. Generally lack of information is really a barrier -- for example prices are often not written, people speak Italian so I decided not to put effort to buy something. There was a feeling that different tourists can get different prices, and that's not fair, Please note Google street views from 2016-2019 are VERY OLD, now in 2025 much of Golem / Robit is seriously rebuilt and Google did not update. They don't have good address system so it is hard to explain what I recommend, but let's try: on Rruga Quemal 2504 (?) there is "Traditional restorant" / "I love albanian food" near SPAR, the food is great.

    The beach is soft sandy, the water is shallow, good restaurants, nice people. Very good food at Mirage Hotel Restaurant, and especially at the hidden Fish and Sea. Nice pizzas in Pizza Italia, overall very cheap prices. Beautiful beach bars all around. The waves can be high. Still we are in Albania, so lot of poor people, garbage on the roads. You can hardly pay by card, get some leks at the beginning. The streets and infrastructure is poor, cars are parking and driving as they want. Still nobody wants to screw you (at least nobody wanted to screw us) and everybody is helpful and friendly.

    Golem is a developing resort with plenty of building...

    Golem is a developing resort with plenty of building projects on the go. A family resort it offers plenty of restaurants, supermarkets & bars. In the evenings The beach front promenade comes alive with activities such as bumper cars, air hockey, children’s rides. Like any resort it’s extremely busy in high season. Near by Durres is easily accessible by car,bus or taxi and is only 50/60 mins to the capital Tirana.

    The staff at Vela Hote are superb!

    The staff at Vela Hote are superb! Helpful, organized and really mindful about their customers and their needs. The area is nice. We took long walks in each direction and mostly found the "usual" tourist stuff. The assortment of resturants and food is kind of boring. - They all have more or less the same menu: Pasta, veal, risotto, pizza and seafood.

    Golem is a very good place especially for families.

    Golem is a very good place especially for families. The beach is sandy, It has a very good walkable area to walk. The pine trees add value to Golemi beach area. You have so much choices to drink and eat fresh food. It has very good 5 *, 4* Hotels, Holiday homes and other structures for guests. It is near Durres, near Kavaja, near Tirana Airport and only 40 km from Tirana capital city.

    The most modern looking hotel in Golem. And it didn’t disappoint! Very nice room with view of the pool and sea. Functioning airconditioning, small fridge, nice walk in shower. Great breakfast! Seats and umbrellas around the pool and on the beach included. And what a great restaurant. We had dinner there. Great food and great staff. Maybe a little more expensive than other restaurants in the neighbourhood, but the quality is so much better! If I would come back to Golem, I would not hesitate to book the same hotel…

    The best of the best- new one Hotel!!! Opening July 2024! Owners/ customer service is high level and doing that job the best! Food is delicious. Rooms with perfect working air-conditioning. Comfortable beds and many sun-beds near swimming pool. 1 minute walking distance from Hotel to the beach where you can find hotels private sunbeds! Cleaning service every day. When we booked that hotel we didn’t know that it will be perfect staying in Albania. Highly recommended!

    Clean, spacious apartment, with all the things you need to cook. Having the ability to wash our clothes after two weeks of travelling was a luxury! Close to various restaurants and supermarkets and a 5 minute walk to a fairly clean sandy beach (most beaches in Albania that we have been to, had a lot of trash, so it was nice to visit this beach with almost none).
