My problem is not with Hotel Dilijan Resort. The problem is with Booking.com. I clearly indicated I wanted a single standard room. But reaching hotel, I found in the hotel booking a family room which was basically a two bedroom apartment with huge sitting room and costing 4 times the cost of a single room. At that time, there was no way I could officially ascertain what was my original booking. If one is not carefully to cross check over and over before completing the booking, Booking.com will saddle you with a room option you did not pick in the first place which you will only notice when it is too late. This has happened to me before

We stayed one night, on our drive towards Tblisi. But we shoudl have stayed 2-3 days instead in Dilijan. The nature is spectacula. We went horseback riding wiith Dilijan Horseriding. An absolute must do! We ate dinner at Kchuk restaurant, an absolute explosion of delicious flavors! The wine was from Karabagh, and was sooo smooth. We stayed one night at the cutest, comfortabe Cozy House. Imagine spending a night in Elfin like surroundings. Clean, beautiful and welcoming.

Dilijan is a beautiful and quiet town in Northern Armenia.
Dilijan is a beautiful and quiet town in Northern Armenia. It is surrounded by mountains, forests and rivers; a perfect location for those who love hiking, adventures and nature.
There are several lakes in and around Dilijan: Dilijan lake, Parz lake, Gosh and Hovk lakes (5-10 kms away from the town). You need mountain jeeps or good walking shoes to reach Gosh lake. To reach the other lakes, a usual rented car or taxi is ok. Those are small, lovely, mountain lakes.
The river Aghstev flows through the town and it offers nice views and places to eat on its shores.
Nearby towns are as peaceful as Dilijan; Goshavank, Aghavnevank (both west of Dilijan), Teghut and Hovk villages (to the north, on the road towards Ijevan).
For mountaineers and hikers, Mount Dimats offers spectacular scenes. You can reach there by mountain jeeps with drivers (10,000 drams).
The area is also packed with cultural and religious old sites, like Haghardzin monastery which can be reached by a taxi or rented car. The others, Aghavnevank and Matosavank need a good 30-40 minute upward-slope walking as the roads are not suitable for cars.
There is a deer breeding center on the way to Parz Lake. Children will love it was they are allowed to feed the deer. At Parz Lake, there are several activities, such as zipline, boat-riding, etc.
Inside the town, you can walk on Sharambeyan Street, where you can find souvenirs, artwork and traditional, 19th century houses. There is also the Dilijan Park and the Amphitheatre.
In Dilijan, there are many good places to eat, Halep, Getap, Flying Ostrich, Ureni, Kchuch and Tava restaurants. Getap restaurant and hotel complex is a great relaxing place right next to the river with good food.
Avoid going to the river or the lakes on Sundays as those places will be packed by locals and tourists.

Dilijan is a decent place for relaxing and going for extreme ways at the same time. It offers great mountainous landscapes with dense forest, yet it is a quite developed city with a selection of restaurants and cafes. There are various museums and other landmarks to visit.

A beautiful town surrounded by the mountainous Dilijan...
A beautiful town surrounded by the mountainous Dilijan National Park. A nice place to relax amongst the cool green shady trees. A few good eating options around. The Dilijan Art Gallery is excellent with some great examples of Soviet era art. A wonderful lady who spoke very good English took us on a guided tour and her explanations were really clear and insightful. The 50 Year Anniversary monument of Soviet Armenia is really impressive.
I had such a lovely stay at Gokor B&B. I did quite a long search before choosing this guesthouse and I don't regret it. I passed by in the morning to drop my backpack before going hiking in Dilijan National Park. I was super well received by Emma and her family. My room was so nice, in a separate little house with its own entrance. It felt like being in a small studio.
Also, the guesthouse is very well located as I could walk to the lake and to Kchuch restaurant by foot.
We had the best time at this cozy hotel in Dilijan. Everything was beyond our expectations. The room was beautifully decorated and was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good too. Everything we tried was delicious. As for the staff, they were great. They were so nice and helpful. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne. Everything was better than we expected. We’ll definitely come here again and this time we’ll even stay longer.
For me as a traveller this hotel is the best place that I ever seen for it’s price. The room was awful with great view to nature.
I think that the price of restaruant was the lowest in Dilijan. The dishes were as tasty as homemade food, and the portions were big.
The terrace is a place where you can seat with friends and relax.
The staff is kind and friendly, if you have any problem or question they will do everything to help you.
This house with old wooden design has a spirit and you feel relaxed when you sitting in the balcony with the sound of the river and view of the national park.
The location is awesome, close to the Rope park, the city lake and bus station, and tourist information.
The hostess is a Russian lady living in Dilijan for several decades and is very helpful and friendly.
The best price in Dilijan
For sure I will come back
A BIG THANK YOU to the staff for their hospitality. Starting from the reception, dining area and recommendations for Dilijan.
At meals the staff were alert and ensured the plates were immediately cleared.
It was a cold, rainy day when we arrived and the staff had kept the heaters running in our room so that is was cosy on arrival.
The rooms were large, spacious and clean.
The hotel is an absolute must visit
Great location close to Old Dilijan. Lovely spacious rooms and a bathroom with showers. Space at the back to park the car safely.
Everyone was very welcoming and though we didn't speak Armenia our host was used to this and through the use of Google translate everything went smoothly.
Walked up to the drunken wood behind the hotel for a bracing morning walk before the next step of our trip
Quite area and nature (trees etc.), somewhat easy access to town about 15 min walk. Close to Dilijan Bus Station about 10 minute walk. Hospitality of host and family members. Host picked us after an attempt to initially find the place. Taxis not expensive. Took taxi to National Park for 1500 Drams (18 km, 20 min drive). Small city town area stretching only about .5 Km
Loved everything about my stay in here!
Big and super clean room, comfortable bed, hot water!
Breakfast is delicious, you can eat it inside or at the terrace. Lovely front yard with flowers, trees and places to chill.
And the most important - friendly and caring people running this hotel, they are always ready to help you. Thank you so much! wish you all the best!
This hotel became my favorite one in Dilijan. Comfy place, modern designed rooms, everything was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The best part was breakfast. They're serving individual breakfasts and it's very rich with various snacks and fruits, also warm dishes.
They also have super cute little cat in the garden ^^
This hotel lays directly next to the Dilijan mountains. Away from the busy highways. So you can hear the silence and the spring/river next to it. It is a very new hotel with good and tasteful interior. Breakfast was overwhelming, so good! Staff very friendly and helpful
The room was nice and clean, also there was a garden outside where you can chill. The owner of the hotel was incredibly friendly, advised us where to go in Dilijan and treated us with delicious home-made cookies. This place is really worth to stay!
A brand new paradise squeezed in between breathtaking views of lovely Dilijan! This is indeed, a real winter wonderland :)) Enjoyed every single moment of our stay, very family oriented and serene atmosphere! Definitely recommend visiting!
The place is great with nature view. Everything is clean and comfortable. Especially we like the staff which is soo friendly and always ready to help. There is a kids zone as well. We are highly recommended this hotel.
