Hospitable hosts, great location (1 min from the bus stop), 3 big ski areas nearby, very cozy & clean room with balcony and great view on the mountains, good breakfast, free sauna in the basement (good opportunity to calm down after skiing). Everything was great!
Fernerblick Apartments is located at the foot of the year-round ski area Hintertux Glacier. Featuring a large spa area with a sauna and a steam bath. We were at Fernerblick Apartments this summer for 9 days. We liked the apartment’s well thought-through and practical design, the amazing view of the glacier and the valley, good quality of amenities, beds and equipment, professional hotel staff/owners. The hiking trails and skiing slopes are practically outside the hotel. We will be happy to be back here.
Offering free use of the sauna, steam bath, infrared sauna and fitness room, Frühstückspension Christina is located at the foot of the Hintertux Glacier and can be reached on skis in good snow... The beauty around it was very nice. Nice and quiet 24/7. And a sauna was included. Best hotel ai have been at.

Gästehaus Windegg enjos a sunny hillside location above Hintertux in the Ziller Valley, a 7-minute walk from the center. The Hintertux cable car is half a mile away. Great location, marvellous views, only 2 minutes drive from lifts. Flat is nice, specious, modern bathroom, kitchen is equipped with everything you may need. Children friendly. The host is friendly and helpful.
Hintertux Glacier is a good place to ski but bear in mind that vast majority of its trails isn't for beginners. The only easy (blue) trails are harder than for example on Kitzsteinhorn. Additionally they're more monotone except for trail no. 17 from Tuxer Joch which is very nice. The infrastructure (cable cars and t-bone lifts; restaurant) is okay.
