The room was spacious, modern, and nicely furnished. Service was good, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly.
Breakfast had a good variety, including some traditional Austrian options, which was a nice touch. There was plenty of parking available nearby, which made things easy.
The location is convenient, especially with the Hintertux Glacier just a short drive away.
Overall, a solid stay with everything we needed.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, the rooms felt more modern than the photos give away which was really nice. We had a studio and a hotel room and the kitchen was well equipped for self catering on one of the nights. The pizzeria next door is a bit of a hidden gem too. The hotel is super well maintained in a traditional style. The most noteworthy part, that a lot of the reviews also speak of is Bridget (the host) is exceptional. Her care for the family business is outstanding and she couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend and would love to return.

A holiday in das Alois is simply a holiday you dreamt of. Everything is fantastic, starting from accomodation through wellness to catering. I have never ever eaten so well prepared food and have not experienced such a caring attitude of all the personnel of the hotel as here (special greetings to Czech waiters Stani and his woman partner). ...And the every evening tradition brought by the founder of this all, Mr Alois (who is over 90 years old) consisting in interviewing the guests in person how they are is just moving. Including the evening he came to sing traditional Tyrolean songs to the guests. Incredible. I am very happy I was there at the time I could meet and get to know him.
To sum it up, in das Alois you will feel like at home and the ski possibilities which are withing walking distance just magnify all the good sensations.
You will never make a mistake when booking a holiday in das Alois and I would like to express my warm thanks to everyone taking part in this incredible family business.

It was an excellent experience from start to finish. The conditions were exceptional, with every detail carefully thought out to ensure comfort and convenience.
The location was ideal, situated just a few minutes from the ski slopes. A shuttle bus departing right in front of the hotel made access to the slopes incredibly easy and hassle-free.
The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options to suit all tastes. The spa facilities were equally impressive, featuring a beautifully designed wellness area with a heated outdoor pool, a well-equipped indoor pool, and multiple saunas. It was the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes.
The bar offered fantastic cocktails, and the service throughout the hotel was impeccable. Staff members were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist.
Additional amenities included a convenient ski storage area and an underground parking facility, making it an ideal choice for skiers.

We were traveling by car (there are also ski busses), so visited all nearby skiing locations (you may buy one skipass which will cover all of them). Also I'd recommend great Spa/pool facilities - Erlebnistherme Zillertal

I prefer privacy, I do not need to be in the city/village center, so for me the location was perfectly suitable. I enjoy the quiet mountains. If you want to be closer to restaurants, pubs, wellness, you should select accommodation in some of the villages down the valley.

This is my 6th or 7th stay in Tux and I am always surprised with the scenery and how friendly the locals are. Every local on the street in the town will give you "Servus!" even if they don't know you.
Also, the food here is amazing, everything!

Beautiful mountains, wonderful view at the glacier from almost every point. Very good infrastructure for tourists. But you allways have to check the opening hours and even opening days of restaurants, because many of them cooks only at particular hours. But i think this apply for whole Austria :) We visited twice the restaurant Tuxer Grillkuchl in part of Tux called Lanersbach. The food was very quicky served, very tasty and they have awesome salad bar. Also the waitresses have been very friendly, always asking if everything was OK. With your stay in (i think) every accomodation facility comes a Guest card, which allows you to use the local bus for free! The river Tuxbach is incredibly clean and the walk by the water is very beautiful!

Well located nice place close to Hintertux on one side and Eggalm on the other side. There are shops and other facilities with everything necessary - bakery, souvenirs, sport equipment, farmacy, food, restaurants, banks, post office... Perfect place.
Staff were helpful, despite some limited English, and for example arranged for us to have dinner at short notice when we arrived when the dinner service was due to shut 10 mins after we arrived. Really good food at dinner. Good food choice at breakfast as well. Hotel was in a good location for us as we had a car and it was a short drive to Hintertux ski area. We were also able to buy our lift passes at the hotel which was helpful.
This place was very conveniently located and had plenty of room for us (4 adults and 2 children). The place was clean, had good facilities and friendly owners. Also convenient for the skibus to get to the Skilifts at the Hintertuxer glacier and Rastkogelbahn/Eggalmbahn.
Apartment is located in Tux Vorderlanersbach about 2 minutes walk from ski bus station and 1 minute walk from supermarket. The beds are confortable and the kitched is very well equiped. The host is very friendly. We will definitely come back!
