Located in Anglesea, 1.2 mi from Point Roadknight Beach, Anglesea Backpackers features accommodations with free bikes, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. Cute and cosy hostel to stay in. Bunks were comfy and clean. Host gave me a lift to Fairhaven to start my hike along the coast.

Very roomy accommodation added inclusion of resort facilities made a pleasurable experience. Walking distance to beach shops and the Hotel position is excellent.
Anglesea is a great place to visit and a very short trip from Melbourne. It has a wonderful beach and is a great place to take the family . If you like the sun, sand and water it has alot to offer. It also has lots of quaint places to eat and is a relaxing place to stay. From there you can travel to numerous places along the Great Ocean Road.
We had forgotten just how beautiful this coastline is, Anglesea is the perfect place to stay as a hub for further exploration of the Great Ocean Road - with Airey's Inlet 15 minutes away and Lorne a further 25 minutes of the most glorious coastal scenery on the planet. The facilities around Anglesea are awesome with lovely walks that are as easy on the eye as they are on your feet. Great river country fringed by native bushland with the sound of surf breaking on the sandy shores of the adjacent beach. Anglesea Gold Club offers brilliant views and pub grub - the latter isn't gourmet but the view makes up for it.
We stayed in low cost clean accommodation which was as we expected. Car park entry and parking at the surf club could be improved. A lot of money has been spent on the surf club, but no improvements to availability of parking.
The facilities, cleanliness were excellent. However, we booked it to be in Oct at a cheaper peice. Due to COVID19 and travel restrictions, we had to postpone it and it cost us $300 more due to close to holiday period. And the price was a little disappointing. But overall at the accommodation was great.
We loved being able to hire a canoe & paddle upriver. The beach is lovely - even in Winter. The take away food from the Hotel is great. (Take away was the only option there when we went due to Covid restrictions.) Everyone we met with were very friendly & happy to welcome visitors.
Spacious unit for 4 adults. On-site restaurant handy for a late-ish arrival - and they even delivered the pizzas (delicious) to our door! Good shower, well fitted-out kitchen and comfortable beds. Perfect. Wished we had stayed longer.
The Host was very efficient in communicating checking in information. Lots of Parking available. The House was well furnished, clean and maintained. It was very comfortable. The location was convenient and near the city centre & tourist attractions. Great value for money. Anglesea is a lovely holiday get-away.
Anglesea Big 4 is close to the beach. Also has plenty of activities for the kids in the park. Its clean and the staff are very friendly and efficient when we required anything. Loved our stay and will definately return
