Moonlight Bay Suites, hotel in Broome

Centrally located in Broome, this 4-star hotel offers an outdoor pool. Guests can enjoy views of Roebuck Bay and on certain dates experience the magnificent Staircase to the Moon.

Had hoped to get a garden/ocean view room but ended up with a ground floor room facing a wall plus some noisy kids next door! The suite itself was good with a very comfortable bed and within walking distance to China Town and shops!

Broome was a pleasant place for the holiday with plenty to do and good trips available. A very useful cheap and frequent bus service meant it is not necessary to hire a car. Restaurants and take aways good but not always up to reviews.

Broome has a lot to offer and we ticked off so much - a day trip to the Horizontal Falls including Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm and Ardyaloon Aquaculture Hatchery, a Fishing trip and Snubfin dolphin sunset cruise with Absolute Ocean Charters, morning camel ride on the Red camels swimming at Cable Beach, Cable Beach sunset, Gantheaume Point walk to Cable Beach, the Museum in Broome is a must and Staircase to the Moon - all highlights. It is very easy to get around Broome on the Broome Explorer bus but feel it finishes too early in the evening. We had no issues with Taxi's they were on time for all the bookings we made. Food was good at Matsos Brewery, Fumiko Food Truck, STK, Cable Beach House, Song Ming Chinese, The Roebuck Hotel. Others tried were The Mangrove Hotel and The Conti. Very disappointed our trip to the Bungle Bungles was cancelled the day before due to numbers but overall we loved everything we did in Broome!

Broome holds some air of mystery, maybe it’s the days past, knowing the town was a bustling pearling town, a hub for trade and a melting pot of cultures. Maybe it’s the beauty of the landscape, particularly the coast. Or maybe the tropical and lush vegetation where seeds are sewn.

The rooms and bathroom were a great size to accommodate 3 children under 6, we had a suite with a balcony so the view was beautiful morning and evening, with some spectacular electrical storms and watching the fruit bats fly above the mangroves it was a wonderful experience. The pool was beautiful and it was very well maintained, having pool towels supplied was great as we spent a lot of our days in the pool. The location was close to all amenities and a short drive to cable beach, walking distance to Matso's Broome Brewery.

The Oakes at Cable Beach is in a great position close to beach and entertainment. The self contained apartments are spacious and have all you need. Nice to be able to cook if you wish. The pool facilities are great with some apartments sharing a private pool. The main pool area is huge with all you need to make your stay enjoyable in the warm weather. Would stay here again

Good location and great staff. Hotel restaurants are also nice, in particular Papa Fuego- probably the best restaurant in Broome. Swimming pools are also lovely- really enjoyed our stay here. Also close to Matsos!
