Location was amazing and exactly what was expected. The animals came right up to us and said hi several times and just overall increased the value of the stay. It was very peaceful and quiet and the wildlife was amazing around everywhere. We wanted an escape from day to day life and that is exactly what we got!

I stayed there because it was close to my daughter.

I stayed there because it was close to my daughter. It was easy to find. I would have liked to stay there longer- I spent the whole time we were there at my daughters, so I didn't explore Gatton. I would have liked to go to Lake Apex across the road from the motel but we didn't have time.

Unfortunately we did not get to see to much of Gatton as we were there to visit our Mother (94) who has just been admitted following a fall. However the restaurants & pubs we visited were clean & very welcoming.

    Gatton seems nice.

Gatton seems nice. Our visit was short but it has everything you need. Easy to get around & we encountered very pleasant people during our stay. Great food at our Motel as our time schedule was tight. Will be back to experience a bit more of Gatton.

would have liked to have stayed longer.

would have liked to have stayed longer. Gatton appeared to be a very active town. We weren't expecting the Lights on the Hill truck memorial to be on. There was thousands of people attending at the local show ground, and as we headed towards Brisbane the road was lined with cars and people waiting to see a Convoy of Semi trucks. They certainly weren't disappoint as it was a few kilometers long, heading for the show grounds. Gatton sure knows how to respect Truck drivers. Big memorial to deceased drivers in Apex Park. RIP drivers Gatton has honored you well.

Driving up from the Gold Coast was a good 1hr 40 about.

Driving up from the Gold Coast was a good 1hr 40 about. Never been up these ways before so was a good experience. Very similar to the wide open spaces and fields of plush market garden produce like back home. One had to wonder if their was any puha amongst those rows of veges.

Nice country feel town, Plenty of small shops, Coles etc.

Nice country feel town, Plenty of small shops, Coles etc. However, if you like a coffee in Cafe not so good during Christmas as all Cafe / Coffe Shops closed during the Christmas week. Apart from that it's quite a nice, quiet and friendly town.
