Located in Goolwa, 1.7 mi from Goolwa Beach, Discovery Parks - Goolwa features accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a shared lounge and a garden. Was perfect for what I needed & even better I could have my pets with me for the night.
Located in Goolwa, PS Federal Retreat Paddle Steamer Goolwa offers accommodations with a flat-screen TV. The PS Federal was a highlight during our Australian tour/adventure. We loved the location, peacefully watching birds while sipping wine on the many decks, the history and the well equipped kitchen. There was a $50 cleaning charge that we were not aware of prior to arrival, but the place was spotless. I would stay and pay again in a heartbeat. As our children said ‘we will miss the Steamer’.
Wayfarers Cottage offers accommodations in Goolwa, 1.3 mi from Goolwa Beach. Guests benefit from a patio and a barbecue. This is a heritage property in a heritage town in South Australia. It is one of the best properties we have stayed in and so well equipped that I wish ever property was like this.

Set in Goolwa, La Maison Riviere - THE RIVER HOUSE Bed & Breakfast features barbecue facilities and garden. Certain units at the property include a balcony with a river view. We stayed here for our babymoon 28-30.8.20 and absolutely loved it! We stayed in the king suite upstairs, and the room was amazing! The bed was super comfy too! From the moment you walk in the door, the decor takes you far away! Everything is styled so beautifully, even the garden feels magical! The brekky was lovely too with the choice of a cooked or fruit and yoghurt. If you put on the aircon and both heaters downstairs it warms up nicely. The location was perfect too! You're walking distance to pubs and restaurants and the wharf has a wine bar and distillery that's only a 5 minute walk. The hosts were really easy to contact as well! Overall our stay was absolutely amazing and would highly recommend! Would love to stay again!
It is a beautiful town with a charm all it's own, from the variety of coffee shops and eateries to the must see waterways and Hindmarsh island. Every turn you take there is a surprise. Access to the town and others were great and well signed. The pubs and shops were great for meals be it fish and chips or chicken snitzel and worth the money. The little op shops they have on Caddell street were wonderful.
Attractive town with many cafes. Art galleries and the lovely antique shop was also a draw card. ( these are open only on certain days) The wharf area also had dining options on the weekend and boats on which you can book a variety of tours to explore the river.
Goolwa is in a beautiful location with good access to most features along the coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, the Murray mouth and the and the northern end of the Coorong. We had good traditional pub meals at both the Goolwa Hotel and the Corio Hotel. In this COVID era (late June 2020) It was no surprise that some facilities were not open. We also enjoyed the Flying Fish Cafe, and the Retro Vibe cafe, both at Port Elliot. There’s some good shopping in the area.
Goolwa is a lovely old style town with a lot of history and beautiful buildings and scenery. The people are friendly and relaxed. I also noticed that many of the older generation are engaged in important volunteer activities around the town such as the paddle steamer and cockle train. Goolwa has become one of my favorite places.
Goolwa is easily accessible, friendly and so many attractions. easy walking on good footpaths, always a great place, great range of art, food and cultural experiences. Coorong Boat Tour, 6 hour tour, a fantastic experience with top guides. Plenty of good food locations, the bakery in main street make delightful sandwiches and pastries, good coffee too.
a great spot for a holiday. the wharf area with its art gallery, brewery and distillery and restaurant. We had a great meal at the Corio Hotel. getting around is great everything within walking distance. Hospitality at the local RLS club was terrific. There is a local train (The Cockle Train) which travels to Victor Harbor.

Wow! What a stunning boathouse, beautifully kitted out with fabulous deck( when we could use it with the changeable weather!) Extremely comfortable in every way.
The relaxing environment, views, the serenity. The atmosphere was just perfect for our first night of marriage to my beautiful wife..
Bed was lovely and comfortable just as I like it.
