I love this park as it's a short walk through bush to the beach and close to the bay. There are a lot of trees in and around the park. It feels close to nature with enough amenities for convenience (not that I used them). I stayed in a Tiny House which was clean and comfortable, I always like a kitchen with decent fridge and cook-top for food prep.

We thoroughly recommend friendly Hawks Nest Motel. We had a great welcome from Michelle, the room was very comfortable, spacious, clean, fully and thoughtfully equipped, had a generous balcony, and there was good parking. The building was quiet, and 10 minutes easy walk to shops and the magnificent Bennet's beach. We would be very happy to stay again.

Pool was heated thus kids swam anytime they wanted including in rain, and pool area is great and steam room was a bit of fun for the kids - beats crown terrigal and nearly as good as ramada shoal bay They upgraded my family booking and gave us 11 am checkout which was greatly appreciated and very helpful Nothing was a problem for the staff Room well resourced with microwave toaster kettle even electric frypan (which we did not need to use but handy to have) Room had two beds plus pull out sofa TV was biggest screen ive seen in a hotel which was great location super handy for cruises and eateries / supermarket

Haven’t visited HN for over 30 years and forgot how nice it was. It was off season and not crowded, good but somewhat limited food offerings but that didn’t matter. Strongly recommended if after a quiet holiday but assume high season could be hectic.

Told we could not get into cabin until 3pm so planned to...

Told we could not get into cabin until 3pm so planned to leave home to suit that time but received a message to say cabin ready at 1.30, we had not left home. I think 3pm is far too late. Would have left earlier so could have spent more time sight seeing or at beach.

- We really enjoyed our stay and felt that all the small details had been considered. - The wifi was good when we decided to stay in and do work when it was raining. - The views were relaxing from the balconies and the upstairs rooftop looked like a cool place to relax next time we return. - We unfortunately got unlucky with rainy weather but it didn't stop us enjoying the kookaburras in the gardens and checking out the local areas & friendly local businesses. - Loved the local ceramics workshop, the visitors centre and the 2 fat bakers bakery (best quiche & spinach loaf I've ever eaten.) - Next time we'll catch a ferry to Nelson Bay for the day and try to spot dolphins.

Not enough dining options and no shade at the beach but still a lovely place to visit. The beach is ideal for us and the Golf Club restaurant is great, not much else around. Easy to get around and The 2 Fat Bakers cake and pie shop at Tea Gardens is THE BEST ! So much choice, so much flavour... Yum !

Hawks Nest is a sleepy seaside town that we love.

Hawks Nest is a sleepy seaside town that we love. Great beach walks, local Benchmark on Booner Cafe restaurant, fantastic seafood at Mums on the Myall in Tea Gardens, local bakery. People are very friendly and welcoming. .

For people who like places a bit off the beaten track but...

For people who like places a bit off the beaten track but with lively local community. Not many choices for eating out, but good IGA, and bakery and interesting hardware/toy gift store if you're looking for kids' gifts.

Comfy room, comfy bed and pillows :) the room in general and specially the toilet was super clean. Staff was very kind and helped us to check in and keep the keys available. We arrived late but that was not a problem at all as the staff took care of ourselves and contacted us. As a bonus, early in the morning we were able to have a coffee with fresh milk and cookies before leaving the hotel. Everything was quiet and we had a good rest!! :)
