The Mantra Lorne is a beachfront resort offering comfortable guest rooms and apartments. It features great leisure facilities, spacious gardens, a restaurant and a bar. Love the location of the property. Very friendly staff, they were very accommodating, helped us upgrade our room to ocean view, we loved the room and the view it made our stay very memorable
The Sandridge Motel is located in the heart of Lorne town center, directly across the road from the beach. Most rooms have a private balcony and rooms with ocean views are available. Beach and main street was just out the front door, perfect location!
Just 984 feet from Lorne Beach, Lorne Bay View offers studios with a spa bath and private balcony. The famous Twelve Apostles are a 2-hour and 30-minute drive away. Free parking is available on site. Our host Adam was very accommodating and as he only had a few in, upgraded our room to one with a fantastic view. Adam was very welcoming and this was matched by the welcome we also received from the dozen Cockatoos that landed on the balcony rail looking for a feed. Our only regret was that when we left Adam was off site and we didnt get to thank him in person for a lovely stay. Thanks also for recommending Robe as a good place to stay, we did and it was 😀
Offering accommodations with free on-site parking and free WiFi, Anchorage Motel & Villas Lorne is 5 minutes’ walk from Louttit Bay Beach. Guests can dine at the café located on the ground floor. Easy access to all the township and facilities in Lorne. The owner of the property was very helpful.
Just 1312 feet from Loutit Bay Beach, Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park offers free parking and accommodations with a kitchenette and a TV. Cabin was on the smaller scale but perfect for a couple. Decking and seats by the river, great place to sit and relax. Small walk from the beach!

One of Victoria's premier holiday locations, no question. Glorious beaches, unspoiled hinterland (for bush walks etc) Wide choice of cafes & restaurants, with very fine dining and a superb dinner at Mo Vida. Most impressive all round. Even though it was high season (Mid Jan) not as madly busy as previous years (probably due to Australia-wide Covid) which made our stay even more pleasant.
Because of Melbourne's mega roadworks we decided to use the Sorrento to Queenscliff car ferry to avoid the long delays on our trip to Lorne. So worth while, beautiful trip. Lorne was buzzing after the covid lockdowns, great to see so many families enjoying the sun, surf, sand and shops. A real positive vibe in town. All the eateries were doing a great trade, but honestly you can't go past The Salty Dog, fish and chip shop next to the Cumberland. The best big menu and 100% best fish and chips Beautiful! Beautiful Lorne was back!
We call it lovely Lorne! It doesn’t disappoint! Our family of 4 have adored it each time. The shops are great & easy to walk around. Great places to eat & all around a sweet little getaway that has a very relaxed feel. The locals are nice & helpful. The beach is really beautiful! Plenty to see & do around Lornes surrounds!
The staff were friendly, helpful. Room lovey close to everything. Amazing view. Easy to walk everywhere. Beach 🏝 was amazing. Great coffee, coming from a coffee snob. Great shopping 🛍 and massages. Thanks
A lovely beach town, but so many options with beautiful beach and bushwalking accessible without driving. Gorgeous.! Also bookshops and fashion shops if that’s your thing. However money travels to this town and gets crowded at peak times. Many wonderful bushwalking and waterfalls.
Most restaurants, etc. were closed due to Covid restrictions. The town is somewhat over-developed and the main street has lost its previous class, but it's still a beautiful setting and magnificent beach.
This is the most amazing introduction to the Great Ocean Road trip we were taking. The service was incredible and we were made to feel so at home. There are a lot of things included in the price, like a bottle of sake, welcome drinks etc. You are surrounded by native bush but a stone's throw from the restaurants of Lorne. We were so happy there and we have stayed in some nice places. Would recommend to all who want serenity and a lovely experience. Better than a hotel for value for money and the ambience.
Excellent location, short walk to the beautiful Lorne beach and the main shops. Supermarket is even closer (and carries daily newspapers). We again stayed in Lorne the week before Christmas, so the streets were very quiet -- it being after 'Schoolies' and before 'high season rush'. The Lorne Op Shop deserves special mention for their staff's help when needed by one of our party. Plenty of excellent restaurants and take-aways were open and providing excellent food and service.
This accommodation is in a beautiful setting with a very quiet street, lots of trees and views of the ocean. The owners are kind and welcoming. They went out of their way to ensure that I enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and the spa bath was very relaxing. The town of Lorne is lovely and the beach is fantastic. I hope to stay there again.
My family had got a great time here. The Tent is huge, the most advanced tent ever made with everything you need, similar to 5 star hotel :). My kid did enjoy the playground very much. You can feed the birds in the morning, will be lots of them. You can also see some Kangaroos. I highly recomended to everyone.
A cosy little cottage in a great location within walking distance of Lorne beach and the town centre. It was nice to stay in the trees somewhere a little bit quieter than the centre of town. Very friendly staff who offered an early check in or extra towels if needed.
The air-condition in our room was dripping water down the walls. But all other facilities of the property were fantastic. Breakfast was amazing. Had a great time, will stay at Mantra Lorne again and would recommend to others.
Location was the best I have ever had whilst staying in Lorne. The house was simple, the way I like it, clean , comfortable and with extras in the kitchen that made cooking, coffee making and dishwashing easy.
Right in the heart of Lorne walking distance to most restaurants and across the road from the beach. Room were very clean and most of the amenities we needed for a 2 night stay.
Great value for money, a basic and clean room, good location for us to explore Lorne and surrounds. On the main street so easy access to cafes and restaurants.
Beds were comfortable, plenty of tea, coffee & sugar, & owner super friendly. Price was pretty cheap for Lorne. I guess you get what you pay for.
Well kept, quiet and clean hotel in a good location. Greeted by neighborhood Cockatoos on the front walkway the next morning.
Location was amazing, perfect for a quick weekend break in Lorne.
It’s position is close to everything in Lorne
Fabulous character cottage in Bush setting. All conveniences including very comfy king bed with cotton sheets and jacuzzi bath. Surrounded by wildlife. Kangaroos, kuala, parrots and many other birds. Lovely swimming pool in gorgeous gardens. Quiet out of the town which was busy and noisey.
Fantastic location with an amazing view across the bay and the pier. Close enough to walk back into town and far enough away from town to be quiet and peaceful. The bed in the main bedroom was next level, really comfortable, and the view!! Wow!!
Amazing place, great set up and location. Owners so easy to deal with also.
Great location, awesome roof balcony. Loved the 2 spas
Quality family time in stunning surroundings
Great position close to everything.
