Loved the views. Fantastic sunsets from Short Point. Great spot for whale watching. The boardwalk through mangroves along the Top Lake is well worth doing and you can enjoy a coffee at the cafe at the end while taking in the view. The RSL in Merimbula is a fantastic spot for casual dining - reasonably priced, huge menu (including Thai and Chinese as well as Western) and everything we tried was excellent.
Wonderful little beach town with beautiful beaches and areas for kids to explore along the coast. LOVED the boardwalk through the mangroves and oyster farms along the rivers and lakes. The boardwalk ended at a small boat shed and cafe where we hired a boat to take out on the lake. Very relaxing, watching dolphins in the water and seeing the oyster farms. Very child friendly.
Great place for families with awesome beaches and lakes. Easy to get around. Lots to do incl fishing, just enough shops to keep your interest incl a handy new huge Woolies. Merimbula is a beautiful destination with lots of walking tracks incl a scenic board walk. Recommend lunch at the Wharf.
Loved Merimbula for a getaway. Whale watching was the highlight. We saw more whales in one place than I ever imagined we would. Great eateries and beautiful scenery and beaches. Our accommodation was very comfortable with beautiful views of the lake and within walking distance to the town centre and some great places to eat and the beach.
The most beautiful place on the far south coast with amazing food and amenities, beaches and walks, even in mid winter. A visit to Dulcies cottage for a burger is a must as is a relaxing walk on the boardwalk taking in the views of the oyster leases and beautiful lake. The beauty of the mouth of the Pambula river is a surprise with its aqua waters co trying with the beautiful blue seas elsewhere. Highly recommend a visit.
What a beautiful place. The restaurant and cafes were second to none. Being a keen fisho it was great to catch quality fish with not too much effort. RSL was a value for money restaurant if you are hungry. Pier one restaurant if you want a little refinement with your cuisine. The salted Snapper was ravishingly tasty.

The hosts Mike and Yumi are friendly and extremely attentive, taking a personal interest making their guests feel welcome. The property was quiet, clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the sea from the balcony. The property has all the comforts of home and I was able to self-cater and do work during the week of my stay. I would definitely stay here again because Merimbula is very pretty and is a good base to explore Tathra, Eden and the hinterland. Would give Pacific Heights 11 out of 10 if I could because it exceeded my expectations.

We had a family room. Short drive to the Merimbula shops. You can see the lake from room with good view. Down the street next to the lake there’s a cafe and boat hire place. The sheets felt quite clean, bathroom in our room is quite new. Kangaroos visited the back of the property at dawn, it was interesting to see them in the room. The property provided microwave and bbq, and it’s nice to seat at their outside tables and enjoy a meal. Value for money is quite good,

Thanks to the friend's recommendation, let me stay in this clean, quality hotel, great mattress, and instant bath water! Just as comfortable as your own home. The hotel is very close to restaurants, shopping streets and shopping centres, and is within walking distance of lakeside coffee shops and whale watching spots by the sea. Next time I visit beautiful Merimbula , I will definitely stay SummerHill Hotel again ！

I liked the size of the units and the all the necessary items provided in the kitchen and bathroom, and the other useful appliances provided. I liked being on the ground floor and the excellent location at Fishpen. The water pressure was awesome, and we loved that it had a/c cooling and we really loved having Socksy the cat come to visit as he helped soothe our sad souls from missing our pets at home.😻

The unit was exceptionally clean, it’s the best location on the Fishpen with unobstructed views of the lake , fishing boats going in and out , the lights of Merimbula at night , across the road from the lake for fishing , mitchies jetty for good coffee and a short walk to the main beach , my ideal location. The unit had everything we needed and good value for money for our stay

First and foremost Rhys was friendly and amenable and made a point of coming into the apartment with us on arrival to show us where things were and how everything worked. He was also very knowledgeable about places to see and where to eat. Thanks to him our stay was packed with plenty to do and we enjoyed some very good food.
