Blackwood Park Cottages Mole Creek has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Mole Creek. Warm family hosted us, our city children had a unique experience living in a farm and enjoyed every moment. We also had a spontaneous guided tour, walking among the animals, feeding them and getting day to day explanations as well as historical facts about the estate. The location is absolutely great. On one hand you feel like in the middle of nowhere and on the other hand, very close to places like the caves, beautiful lookout called Alum Cliffs and not so far from Deloraine.

Offering free WiFi and lake views, Old WesleyDale Heritage Accommodation is a property located in Mole Creek. This self-catered vacation home features a garden and free private parking. The hosts Deb and Scott were friendly and helpful. The site is a well restored piece of Tasmanian history and the gardens were some of the most beautiful we have ever seen. Even the drive into the property is beautiful. Everything is immaculately maintained.
Located in Mole Creek, 24 miles from Cradle Mountain, Wandering Trout Taphouse has a restaurant and free WiFi. There's a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. We only stayed one night as we were visiting Cradle Mountain and the local caves however we would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is quirky and has a lot of character, the bedding and linen was very nice and the food and wine served in the restaurant was exceptional. The included coffee and breakfast in the morning was also a nice touch and we like that there is a big focus on local and quality foods. We are giving 10/10 as we also saw a cute platypus in the creek down behind the hotel which is an extremely rare sight, so it made our stay!
Offering a cozy wood fireplace and views of the orchard and gardens, Elvenhome Farm is a unique sustainable eco-farm stay experience. It offers an educational experience to guests. Loved the beautiful, peaceful location in the mountains. Host was very knowledgeable, friendly and insightful. Property was spotless and had everything we needed and the some. Would definitely come back!
Birdwing Bed and Breakfast Weegena, nestled in a beautiful garden, offers accommodations with free Wi-Fi and a private BBQ. Guests can begin their day with a free breakfast. Location was perfect. Wonderfully peaceful. Very comfortable. Amazing breakfast and perfect hosts.
The apartment was nothing short of amazing- a home away from home. It was well equipped with a fully functional kitchen and laundry facilities. The apartment was adequately heated (including under floor heating in the bathroom), could hardly find anything wrong with the place. Consider the location if you are heading to Cradle Mountain.
There is not much of note in Mole Creek. It was just vital for us to ‘Stop and Revive’ after our 4 hour drive from Strahan in wet weather on tortuous roads. We could not face entering Launceston traffic, so we really enjoyed our comfortable night at the Taphouse. Be warned there is Bozzey Cafe nearby which was filthy and stank, and the Manager was rude and gossiped about the whole town (we had trouble getting away!). She told us not to stay at the Taphouse but she was wrong.
What a place! The Cave adventure was a real highlight but there is more than meets the eye in this quiet little town. Beautiful scenery everywhere you look and lots of little spots for walking or picnicking. If you have a 4x4, this place is an adventure waiting to happen, with windy roads that make the imagination run wild. Just keep an eye or two open for wildlife, and take it slow. There is no rush when in a place this lovely.
Great place to stay to visit nearby Marakooa and King Solomon Caves . It’s a country cabin with all you need for an overnight stay . Within one hour drive to Cradle mountain . Very peaceful and great views out the window.
It is worth visiting the Marakoopa Cave, King Solomons Cave and nearby Alum cliffs. Mole Creek provides a good central access point for many other places including the easy walk to Liffey Falls and the more difficult walk to Meander Falls. It is also quite close to the Cradle Mountain area and only 40 minutes from the north coast.
Guided cave tours are reasonably priced and quite the spectacle, we would definitely recommend visiting 1 or both of the caves if you're in the area, especially if its raining as there isn’t much else to do.
