Nelson is a small settlement at the mouth of the Glenelg...

Nelson is a small settlement at the mouth of the Glenelg River. The main attraction is the surf beach and the shallow waters in Discovery Bay and Oxbow Lake which attract black swans and countless coast loving birds. The river and the shorelines are very scenic. Being such a small settlement, as can be expected the facilities are somewhat sparse, although the Nelson Hotel is a focal point offering excellent cold beer on tap and meals.
