The apartments are absolutely charming! We would definitely stay here again. Derby is delightful and the apartments are right in town. The bed was very comfortable and the apartments were very clean.

This B&B is in a heritage bank building, and is set up very well for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and the linens felt really good. The rooms are nicely decorated with period furnishings and thoughtful touches. We only used the main bedroom and living room, but the 2nd bedroom looked nicely furnished too. Having a dedicated parking space was appreciated. The place is just a short walk from anything in town, including several restaurants. Breakfast was tasty and had fruit and nuts from their onsite garden, which was nice. Liz and Mark are communicative and friendly with lots of suggestions about the area.

Avalon Blue Stay is an absolute gem for mountain bikers visiting Derby. The location is ideal, providing easy access to the incredible trails. The house itself perfectly captures the spirit of mountain biking, with all the amenities you could ask for. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped, which is crucial given Derby's limited dining options. We loved having the ability to cook our own meals after a long day on the trails. The inclusion of an air fryer was a pleasant surprise! The laundry facilities were also a huge plus, allowing us to keep our gear clean and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avalon Blue Stay and highly recommend it to fellow mountain bikers.
