Rockhampton is the "BEEF CAPITAL" of Australia and there is plenty of very good meals available at realistic prices. Stewarts is a Major Department Store in the city centre which is well worth seeing.

Rockhampton has to be one of Australia most underrated...

Rockhampton has to be one of Australia most underrated regional cities. It's quite a beautiful city, has a real subtropical rainforest feel about it . Some real gems in regards to food to be found and plenty of things to see and do. On top of that the majority of people are friendly on a level that I expect to find in a small town not a decent sized metropolis. It's well laid out and easy to find your way around in both the city and suburbs. I enjoyed my stay and will return.

This motel complex is located in Parkhurst, 12 km north of Rockhampton City on the Bruce Highway. We stayed in a well-designed, modern, spacious villa/studio with a Queen bed, kitchenette, lounge room and modern bathroom. The grounds and pool/BBQ/laundry facilities are well maintained and clean. The Parkhurst Tavern, located in a shopping centre 2 km south of the motel, is a good option for dinner. This is a good value option for a stay in Rockhampton if you have your own wheels.

Price $119. Location on the north side of Rockhampton to allow for an easy departure when travelling north, despite having to head south initially before executing a U turn. Meals were quite good. Shower was quite good. Room was quiet being in the back row of units away from the highway.

The location was very convenient being on the main road in to Rockhampton. Aldi across the road. A shopping centre not far away. Very close to a bottle shop. The room was very large, very clean and very quiet. I would stay here again as it was excellent value for money.
