We are regular clients of the motel when travelling to Rockhampton for my son's AFL games. We like the location and especially the room service menu. Steaks are first class and never fail to disapoint.

Stayed in an executive room. It was upstairs which we were aware of. There are no lifts so you do need to go up two flights of stairs.
Had a balcony, queen bed, single bed as well as a couch, desk and fridge. Very good sized room with plenty of room. Plenty of lights. Bed was comfortable.
Good price.
Motel is on the main road into Rockhampton so be aware that there will be road noise.
The complimentary breakfast is an assortment of cereal, pancakes, toast and muffins. There is also juice and coffee. Enough to get your day started.

We had a great time, it's a very interesting city and much bigger than I expected. Botanic Gardens were good but zoo was being renovated so was a bit disappointing. Enjoyed our trip to Emu Park and Yeppoon and visiting the sale yards and Paradiso.

Rockhampton was better visited as a day trip from Emu Park or Yeppoon. There’s a nice Main Street and fantastic old buildings. Sharing the mixed grill at the Criterion was a highlight and we were impressed that the Great Western Hotel had a full rodeo arena. Skywalk offered wonderful views of the river and the city and included play equipment for kids.

We loved the Botanic Gardens and the Zoo, bonus it was free and clean.
Riverside cultural district was a bit dissapointing, nice enough but nothing to do apart from walk through it, we did some of it but better off walking up the top along Quay Street to take in the lovely old buildings. Mt Archer skywalk was awesome, such a lovely view back over Rockhampton from up there. We also did the Capricorn Caves, it's a must see when in the area that's for sure! Yeppoon and the Keppel Coast was beautiful but we needed more time spent over there..next visit hey!

Rockhampton is a great place to visit, it has so much to offer no matter what You are looking for. Plenty of restaurants that cater to pretty much any cuisine You like. It has some of the best pubs I have ever been to with atmosphere, food and entertainment. So do Yourself a favor and visit and see what Rockhampton has to offer.
For us, the Hotel had an old world ambience and charm about it. High ceilings, spacious room, large and comfortable bed, period furnishings. We consider ourselves simple folk and this was something special and different. Staff were present, available and friendly. Breakfast was ready, simple and filling. I appreciated the opportunity to leaf through and read a little Rockhampton History.
Great initiative to use a beautiful old building in such wonderful way.
The bed was amazingly comfortable with crisp white sheets and new doona, we had the best nights sleep. We have stayed at other places in Rocky and heard highway traffic all night. Right across the road from Rockhampton Leagues Club which is a great venue.
We had a nice big room with an adjoining balcony overlooking the river. At night there was entertainment with a live band and lots of people dancing! We really enjoyed both nights at this historic hotel.
