It was literally faultless. The bed was divine, the location is perfect, the freezer was filled with ice cubes, there was milk in the fridge, a Nespresso machine (with milk frother), the gas fire was fantastic, the TV had all the streaming services and the NBN was FAST. Parking is undercover at the door, it was peaceful and quiet in spite of its proximity to the Main Street. Wow Wow Wow!!!

Rutherglen is a very good place to stay for for lovers of good food and wine. If you have never visited Rutherglen before I would recommend you try as many wineries as you can because they are all good. My favourite places to eat are Tulleries and All Saints for fine dining excellence and the Poachers Paradise Hotel for really good bistro food. I also love going to St Leonards Winery on the banks of the Murray for tasty food and really good wine. Pfeiffers has some really good wines and a walk over the bridge at Sunday Creek is just lovely. If you don't want to drink and drive then there are winery tours available for your comfort. If you want to venture further down the Murray then I would recommend the historic towns of Beechworth and Chiltern as well worth a look and there are plenty of scenic drives and bicycle rides to do. If you want to explore the Rutherglen area then you will need a car! If you don't like the heat then don't go to Rutherglen in the summer because it is very hot, or at least make sure you have a pool nearby for a swim, which is what I did on my recent trip. Also you need to remember that Rutherglen is inland and not near the beach. So if you are looking for a flash coastal/resort beach holiday then this is probably not the place for you. Other than that come along and try it for yourself.
The Rutherglen Wine Region has some amazing Wineries that has one thing that sets them apart, the many Wineries that accept dogs on their premises. That in itself makes for an amazing experience in Rutherglen when travelling with your family pet. Having truly dog friendly accommodation such as Must Love Dogs B&B Accommodation complete the whole experience, making it a stress free place to visit for humans with their 4 legged friends.
It was central to many towns in the whole region, so great for exploring. Lunch at All Saint's winery was fantastic. Also, lunch at Wicked Virgin Boutique winery and olives was surprisingly great! More of the wineries need decent dining options!! Try the Thousand Pound wine bar in Rutherglen's main street. Well worth a visit! And the bridge bar at Pfieffers is a must at this time of year!
A wonderful Country Town that has a range of Wineries with some very special wines. A choice of good Restaurants and Hotels. The locals are all very friendly and welcoming. Only shortfall was the lack of Shops but the basics were available. We look forward to returning and spending more time in the area.
Great wines and old pubs, we had a pot in every pub open in Rutherglen, Corowa and Wahgunyah. The river at Corowa is wide and snag free so ski safe. The wine buffet at Rutherglen Estate is also a must do
People are friendly and willing to help with places to go and places to eat. The town has been re-vamped and trendy little shops and some fantastic places to eat. The chemist was a great one stop shop for all your items you forgot to pack including medication

Extremely quiet at night. Very comfortable bed. Great wifi- easy to connect and fast. Short walk in to centre of Rutherglen. Sunny, protected place to sit directly in front of our room. Provision of essentials for our stay: kettle, toaster, cheese board and knives, plates, bowls and cutlery as well as tea, coffee, biscuits and wine glasses. Clean - nice new carpet! Friendly, welcoming host.
Jane was very welcoming and friendly. She gave us a detailed overview of what the motel offered and the connections with the hotel/meals. We had a drink at the hotel and then dined at the Star Hotel which was one of Jane's recommendations. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom facilities good. It was a central location but also very quiet.
I have never seen a property so well appointed with attention to little things that make it feel personal and not soulless. We stayed with another couple and it was very spacious and suitable for entertainment . I could not imagine staying anywhere else if I ever return to Rutherglen.
