The house was beautifully styled, with quality furnishings through out the house. The owner Lyn was a delight and very helpful with information and being flexible on arrival time. Would love to stay there again and would definitely recommend this property.

its a great beach area with long beach that you can walk on for hours and then you have the lake over the other side. It has a nice cafe on the beach and a cute little shopping centre with IGA etc. The people are very friendly and i felt very safe and welcome in the area. The RSL has good food and the people there were also very nice. I highly recommend Stockton for a family or couple holiday.

As on old Stockonite I hated the explosion of new units that have been built and the removal of the movies from the entertainment for the people. The changing of the theatre into shops is terrible. I would also like to see a "save the Adolf" ( what is left of it!) movement as it is an attraction for visitors and could be more so!!! Stockton has, like all suburbs around Australia, given into developers, and councils have also lowered their standards and control of developer's builders, etc and as a consequence we are being flooded with sub-standard buildings that may mot last 25 years!. Stockton remains accessible and has attractive features. For God sake maximise them and feature them to attract citizens and visitors alike. Unbeatable beaches, wonderful river with great fishing, and unbeatable areas to visit and enjoy. Cast a 360 degree net around Newcastle/Stockton and there is every enjoyable activity that one could wish for!

Stick to is imbued with local history of national significance. It has the air of a town, of which its residents are passionately proud. The townsfolk are down -to-earth & genuinely friendly. Food & fitouts are well above par. Streets are broad. There are stately homes & grand buildings, mingled among unassuming, charming weatherboards. Stick to beach is wild & dramatic, while the Hunter mouth affords industrial & civic Novocastrian outlooks. Shipping, fishing & yachting provides an ever-changing tableau. Parks & gardens soothe a weary spirit. Outdoor fitness stations are many & state-of-the-art. Don’t forego weekend brekky at The Washy. Go for the puffy, fluffy, golden corn fritters, with poached eggs, avocado salsa & smoky tomato relish. Not forgetting the world’s best bacon--or near as--from the butcher round the corner. Shipwreck Walk is also a must.

Personally I have been visiting Stockton for over 4 decades. It's changed I'm sure in certain ways but underrated in my opinion. The only changes are beautiful homes being built which is wonderful. It's taken a very long time to have particular new park facilities built but I feel the locals of generations have preserved its beauty and relaxing location.
