We were pleasantly surprised by the charm of Yass and enjoyed the historical walking tour of the town and a leisurely walk along the river. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Kaffeine in town and had fun discovering the gift shops and their beautiful wares. Yass is a typical country town with a good range of cafes and restaurants/pubs. On this occasion, on a public holiday we found that The Australian hotel pub has good selection of beers and food with more than generous portions. The same applies to their desserts.Guest review byLillyAustralia - 10.0

A lovely historic town with a great walk near the river.
A lovely historic town with a great walk near the river. The closeness to Canberra was very beneficial as I heard Vivaldi, some Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Paganini played by the Chamber Philharmonia Cologne which consisted of 5 stringed instruments and a Spanish baritone soloist. Yass is a super cute little country town with lots of character and cool old Victorian buildings. I'm a building and house creeper, so love wandering around local streets checking out the architecture. There are a few great cafes and restaurants, and a handful of shops - nothing too fancy. Nice town with all needed. Was our half way stop to sydney. Hamilton Hume motel was great value and clean. Recommend. Bowling club had great food even though the outside looked un inviting the staff were great and food was great value.Guest review byCliffordAustralia

I booked very late driving up the highway and was worried we would be jammed in a small space with uncomfy beds, but it was totally the opposite. Nice quiet spot, really comfy beds, lovely shower, nice and clean room with a surprising amount of space (we had a queen and two singles). It was a large and very comfortable cabin and we liked the way it was decorated as it was like staying with family. The shower was very good. The bed comfortable and it was airconditioned throughout.
