AustraliaOur warm welcome from Janeen at reception. She is amazing! We liked the clean large rooms and Air conditioning. There was plenty of parking and walking distance to shops and clubs. Loved the pool.
Our rooms were serviced daily which is rare to find these days!!!

Lovely town, the people are friendly and helpful. We eat at the Service club, the meals there vary in quality. The Australia pub food was superb and huge! The little fish and chip shop near the Council Office is well worth the visit, the hamburgers we had were really good! Young is an excellent regional town. Great restaurants, cafes, shopping, wineries, scenery. Very friendly. Hussey's for breakfast was unrivalled. Elliotz for dinner was fantastic. The Salami Bros thin crust vegetarian pizza was the best I've ever had. The Grove Estate Winery was well worth the visit. Great service and terrific wines. Great winery area, the Hilltops region, with a great selection of wines, predominately Italian varieties. Recommend Freeman Wines, Ballinaclash and Grove Estate. Also if you love cherries, then visit Ballinaclash Winery around mid November and December and pick your own cherries. Great local pubs and club. A visit to Wilders Bakery is a big tick on our list, sit on the verandah and enjoy the view, take a drive to wombat and the Pub do a loop drive around to Harden an see the Silo Art. At this time of the year the Canola crops are a sight to see Dinner at the Australian Hotel is good huge meals served quickly cherry pie and ice cream yum. My husband rang the hotel the day before we arrived and asked if we could have safe parking for our trike. Without hesitation, the young man he was chatting to said yes, you can park it in our shed. On arrival, the young lady who greeted us directed my husband around the back to the shed and made sure the shed was locked up for the night.
