The hotel exceeded our expectations! The breakfast was one of the best we had in a hotel. We were given a small room and a big room connected to each other as we were 4 and it was really comfortable, like having a flat. The staff was friendly and the hotel was really clean. In general we realized that the hotel was very generous and everything was well organized. One of the few times I can say that it offered an excellent value for money! We also had dinner at the restaurant and considering the quality of the food and the very nice live music the price we paid was more than fine! We are looking forward going there again!

Interesting little city, a bit in its dead days unfortunately. Some old beautiful buildings, once it was more thought after. The theme Spa is nice. We had a great experience at a restaurant, the Seraphina.

Excellent and clean spa, sauna and steam room.

Excellent and clean spa, sauna and steam room. It’s not as awesome as the Caracalla Therme in Baden Baden, but it makes up for it in scenic beauty and atmosphere. The staff is multilingual and speaks French, Dutch, German and English.

Spa’s a lovely town with much going for it….

Spa’s a lovely town with much going for it…. The only downside I encountered was that some idiot took it upon themselves to put stickers over my car… it only takes one muppet to ruin what was a really nice stay!

It is a very small and pleasant city to visit, its advantages the F1 circuit that is very close, the abundant nature that exists in that place, going for a walk is so pleasant and relaxing, the thermal baths that are its reference point not the most beautiful in Europe but by history a place to visit.

A great little Belgian town with a few tourists, a good range of cafes and restaurants and of course Spa des Thermes. The mountain biking day was great. One day less would have been perfect but this was determined by the rail fare.

We used to go to the old Thermes spa facility more than 10 years ago. We were pleasantly surprised and happy to spend the day at the new Thermes facility that has been built on the hill (near top of the funicular). Well worth a day or 2 visit. The city still retains its old world charm and beautiful setting in harmony with nature.

We stay here every year in November while visiting the Thermes of Spa. We noticed a great change in the hotel since it became a Van der Valk Hotel. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a great atmosphere in the bar/lounge and the decor was lovely. The breakfast was incredible! The staff were lovely and replenished everything very regularly. The choice was amazing. I particularly loved the fresh smoked salmon. We are already looking forward to coming back!

A very cosy hotel, fantastic breakfast, the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel itself. Last but not least, very friendly staff! Helpful with regards to sightseeing locations in the neighborhood and to assist for giving additional information about Spa and its center. Actually, I can't tell about any issues or improvements, thus hereby we are giving 5 stars as rating score right now 🤩. Hotel l'Ecrin is a place to come back and book again.

Exactly as described, clean and fresh, lovely private, leafy outlook, super comfortable bed, spacious newly renovated, great large shower. Delightful host who lives in the same building. Location is perfect, peaceful and quiet, 150m to the centre of town, 150m to the Thermes de Spa furnicular. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay, very highly recommended, a great value alternative to local hotels, more spacious and homely.

This is a lovely hotel with friendly helpful staff. We had a beautiful spacious room with views to the garden and surrounding countryside. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in elegant surroundings, and the town was a short step. We were able to borrow an iron and get a sewing kit for running repairs.
