The room was absolutely wonderful with a brick wall and a huge shower where 2 people could fit together at the same time. They upgraded our room to king size for free. Extremely clean and modern design. The shower and sink looked very good and the free toiletries were good quality (Dove miniatures). Spatious room and confortable bed.

    Gananoque is a great location to visit all of the 1000...

    Gananoque is a great location to visit all of the 1000 islands on the Canadian side. The town had some nice restaurants. The Old English Pub, Purple House and Grayson's at Wood View Inn. took a 5 Hour tour with City Cruises of the 100 Island with a stop at Boldens castle from the docks in town. It was fantastic. The vibe in town is very much geared to tourism. When i planned this trip I knew nothing about Gananoque, but I hit a home run.

    A beautiful small town located on the beautiful Saint Lawrence River. This area offers so much to see and do. The people are very friendly and make you feel welcome. I love this place and everything about it. Looking forward to visiting again in the future.

    Gananoque offers a lively street scene for visitors well into the evening. Lots of pubs and restaurants to dine and hang out in, do people watching and enjoy the view if you're on the water. Visitors come from all over. River cruises available at the marina. A charming and very enjoyable place to spend a night or two.

    Gananoque is a spectacular area to visit and stay a while: The water, the water activities including the boat cruises; the relaxing atmosphere of the town and people there, places to walk in town, and the drive there and back on the Thousand Island Parkway - spectacular!

    The area is Beautiful, lots to do and see. It was hard to find restaurants on the water, only a few and you cannot trust the reviews people all have opinions most are not accurate. We were interested in a dinner cruise, could not find any info on such.

    The main thing I disliked was that a few of the cafés were closed a lot of the time I was there and most of the restuarants closed in the evening between 7.30 and 8.30 .Not good for a holiday location.

    The staff was polite. The hotel was conveniently located next to the 401, which made it practical for traveling. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The towels and garbage cans were changed daily. Our room had a hardwood floor, which was much better than a carpet.
