Located just a 14-minute walk from Monastery St. George, Bed and Breakfast 24 provides accommodations in Stein am Rhein with a garden, water sports facilities, as well as an ATM. We showed up soaking wet after biking in the rain for two hours and the hosts put our clothes in the dryer for us. They didn't speak much English and we don't speak any German, but we were able to communicate well enough and they were extremely kind. The breakfast was top-notch. When we first arrived, we thought it was a little too far from the center but in the end, the view and the walk to the town (about 12 minutes) was really nice!

A beautiful little Swiss village with an old town sector not to miss and river walks to enjoy. Historically interesting monastery nicely preserved. The Rhein River valley is beautiful here. Excellent cycling destination.
The evening we stayed in Stein am Rhein, they had a big fireworks display at the Rhein. This was really amazing to see, only drawback was that lots of people came to enjoy the fireworks, meaning parking in the town (and at our hotel) was impossible :).
Stein am Rhein Alt Stadt is beautiful. Can imagine a lazy sunshine summer in this little village. Adi at the Imbuss was a real find. He’s located just inside the arch. Bratwurst and conversation. Fun.
If you are to stay here, make sure you check out the historical area where you will see ancient buildings, fountains and be sure to stay in Hotel Schwanen, it was where Napolean Bonaparte and his men occupied in the ancient times. Plus be sure to visit Rhein Falls. Its an amazing experience in itself. Pay CHF5 to get right up close to the waterfall. Well worth it.
Stein an Rhein is a historic little town with a walking street and building dating back to the 1700s with colorful painted facades it’s located right on the river and well worth a visit. It’s only 50 miles from Zurich and the surrounding area is scenic and interesting to visit Will return
The buildings with their lovely frescoes, good - if sometimes expensive - restaurants, good walk uphill to the castle with a wonderful view overlooking the village and surrounding area and with its own restaurant where we had excellent mid-morning coffee.

The location is truly unique and the view is unmatched. The rooms are nice, modern and clean, we also enjoyed how quiet the place was. I would recommend to spend a minimum of 2 nights to benefit of the location and the different activities offered. Since the hotel is located in the country, you will rely on its restaurant which was very good. Breakfast was also super nice.

The hotel was cute, well maintained, and the owner is very nice. The rooms were good size. We traveled with 2 kids and everything was very easy. Breakfast was perfect for our needs. Breads, meat, cheese, eggs, cereal, coffee and juice. Highly recommend.
Very enjoyable relaxing stay that was too short. Hotel well situated - a spectacular building among many others - all well preserved! Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable, little - no noise at night allowing to sleep well.😊
