Laurie is super friendly and helpful! The hotel is very nice, well kept and clean, and the best part are the friendly sweet dogs ! They are sooo sweet and will go play catch with you to the beach, so this is a top spot for animal lovers!

What a hidden gem. The location was amazing. The room and balcony overlooking the water were way more than we expected. The in-house restaurant was convenient but beyond that, the food was exceptional. The included breakfast was fresh and made to order and way more food than we expected. We highly recommend this property and will definitely go back if we are in the area again.

The staff is awesome, very helpful, Justin at the reception desk was very helpful helping with putting my medicine of ice. I thought the room would have a fridge. The restaurant staff was very accommodating to my food needs. It was a great experience with them.

Spectacular secluded little oasis! We only booked one night and I wish we had stayed more. A beautiful setting, squeaky clean, loads of cooking utensils, AC. The most incredible thing though, was the host. We needed a taxi to collect us earlier in the morning and she organised it and off we went right on time.

I like most of the food was pretty good.

I like most of the food was pretty good. The pools were very active for socializing at the swim up bar If you’re going for relaxation, it’s a place to go. You just wanna lay in the sun. Read a book and relax.

I booked a return flight to New Jersey after just 4 hours at the resort. The accommodations were filthy, food was disgusting, and the bars were never tended by anyone. It was the biggest vacation disaster I've ever experienced. I slept with the lights on because I was hoping it would scare the bugs into the walls (which were crumbling and had large holes). The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several months and there was mold on the light fixture, the curtains, and the walls. Beach was also a bust - littered with driftwood and debris.

I would avoid this resort if you are not a native, it's...

I would avoid this resort if you are not a native, it's really a resort for the locals. Food is not good, lines are long, 80% of the Staff are unfriendly and don't really want to be there. Locals are not as friendly compared to other places and the managers seem like thugs just raking in the money and could care less if you liked your stay there or not. Managers just see you as a walking dollar sign. P.s whoever responds to my negative reveiw don't bother because we all know you don't really care so save your typing.

There isn't much to see in El Roble, we just stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the food, pool and beverages. The beach is't nice, if you want beach mabe other places are better, if you go for the hotel and to be close to San José, it's fine.

We wouldn't stay in this hotel again as the negative points outweigh the positives. Some positives include nice pools, a mostly friendly and helpful staff (95% stuff is very nice and makes you feel welcome). - Good variety of food and they include the lunch after check out and before check in which is very convenient

Amazing hotel by the Pacific. Several pools, bars, and restaurants. Staff were lovely, and the entertainment was fun. The food was good. At night it was lit up with lights and with the palm trees all over was a paradise setting
