There were people from all parts of the world in one little town. It is worth exploring the surrounding areas, because the actual town of Montezuma is rather small. There are different dining and lodging options for all tastes and budgets. Some great restaurants! We especially enjoyed Playa de Los Artistas, Soda La Naranja, and Cocolores. We also enjoyed morning yoga at Ylang Ylang, the accessibility of the beach, and the walkability of the town and local waterfalls. Montezuma is a quiet beach town, has enough places to eat, a grocery store, but is not a party place. Our house was up the heal, between the trees with lots of birds and animals around. In the evenings we would sit outside, but keep the windows and doors closed, that nothing could go in. We had airconditioning, but we just used it to cool off the place, then it stayed cool for the night. Lots of beaches to choose from and lots of waterfalls to visit.Guest review bySaroltaCanada - 2.0

Great experience walking up to the Montezuma waterfall, we left at 7 and had the waterfall to ourselves for swimming. The location is perfect for when you have access to a car and want a calmer area. The hotel is located on the hill, a bit further away from the busy restaurant/shop area but still within short driving distance. The staff is super friendly and helpful! The breakfast is delicious. The pool is nice and refreshing and beautiful especially at nighttime under the stars. The rooms are easy, comfortable and clean.
