The rooms are modern, clean with a nice view (balcony, mountain-facing room). The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was reasonable.

Stayed here with my family for new years eve. The hotel is beautiful, staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are very comfortable and cosy. Our new years eve experience here was just perfect. I couldn't recommend it enough. The food and dancing was such fun. Thank you to all for making our experience in Ettal unforgettable.

Room was quite spacious and was compartimented so that the sleeping area was separate from the main entrance and bathroom area. Easy access to the inner garden. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quite unique with its wooden structure. The side walls of the sleeping quarters were made of piled logs.

The breakfast was super! You could always ask for more coffee and the staff was present and helpful.

Breakfasts are balanced and fresh.

The family owned faciltiy, warm dinner, and breakfast were more than our expectations. The owner Wolfgang was and his staffs are so warm. We loved this inn.

Very welcoming stuff, nice small room, wonderful view, good shower, nice breakfast. The stuff helped us contacting the car rental company after we had a problem with the car and with their assistance the problem was solved.

Our Sissy suite was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was awesome and did absolutely everything to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. The breakfast was amazing: it included everything one could wish for and the service was top notch. Highly recommended: it is worth that little extra to reserve a suite, like the Sissy - it's unforgettable.

The breakfast buffet was AMAZING! They served the freshest croissants I have ever had in my life. Large assortment of food. Staff was very friendly. The room was clean and roomy. Room #311 has a great view of the Alpspitze, Waxenstein and Kramer-Amazingly beautiful! Great location, too! Looking forward to coming back soon!

Quiet and cozy apartments in a very central location.

A cozy hotel, just like the town itself, which we came to visit on the recommendation of our relatives. The service was top-notch – we received a local map, advice on where to go, and a warm welcome. The balcony of our room opened to a magnificent view of the mountains. All attractions were within walking distance. Highly recommended.

I liked the all-inclusive, homelike quality of the Hote Garni Ammergauer Hof. Going into the restaurant for a meal or drinks was like walking downstairs and into the home of a family friend and the food was really satisfying.

The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The place was simple but clean snd comfortable. I was travelling on my own, which can sometimes be daunting but I felt safe and at ease the whole time.

Great value, better than average breakfast, comfortable bed, ergonomic room set up. Well above average sauna area with ample lounge chairs. After snowboarding all day, Finnish and Dampf saunas were super (especially since GAP pool/sauna is under construction). Terrific and friendly staff who all spoke English.
